2028 RHP/INF Chase Martin Chase Martin (Padua Bruins Baseball) FB: 85-88, T88.8 CB: 71-73 SL: 74-76 CH: 76-77 The 6-foot-2, 185-pound two-way standout delivered on both sides of the ball in Padua’s Regional Semifinal victory. On the mound, Martin was electric, tossing five strong innings while allowing just one run on four hits and two walks. The right-hander struck out 11 of the 15 outs he recorded, showcasing his swing-and-miss arsenal. At the plate, the right-handed hitter produced from the 5-hole, collecting an RBI single, a sacrifice fly, and a walk. In a Division V Regional Final, #10 (D5) LB Eagle Baseball (22-5) punched its 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓-𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 trip to the State Final Four, defeating ACHS Aces Baseball (14-13) by a 6-1 score and outhitting the Aces 10-2. 2028 RHP/C Kooper Leatherman was dominant from start to finish, keeping Amanda-Clearcreek off balance all evening. The talented two-way tossed a complete game, allowing just one run on two hits and three walks while striking out six. The Eagles' offense backed him with 10 hits, led by a trio of multi-hit performances. 2026 OF Reid Irwin paced the attack with three hits, while 2027 OF Connor Barbara and 2028 INF Taden Troyer each collected two hits. For the Aces, 2026 CF/RHP Gary did everything he could to keep his team within striking distance. The two-way standout entered in relief and delivered five strong innings, allowing just two runs (one earned) while striking out four. At the plate, he accounted for Amanda-Clearcreek's biggest swing of the night, finishing 1-for-2 with a home run, walk, RBI, and run scored. In Division III, Region 10 action, #3 Padua Bruins Baseball punched its ticket to the Regional Final with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Sylvania Southview Baseball, despite being outhit 7-4. Talented 2028 two-way prospect Chase Martin set the tone on the mound, earning the win after five strong innings. The right-hander allowed just one run on four hits and two walks while piling up 11 strikeouts. 2027 RHP Brandon Tillman took over for the final two innings and secured the save, striking out two while helping the Bruins hold off a late Southview push. Offensively, Padua was led by a pair of standout underclassmen. 2028 Braylon Benson reached base twice, scored two runs, and wreaked havoc on the bases with four stolen bags. 2029 Michael Cangelosi Jr. sparked the offense with an early triple and later scored on a Chase Martin RBI single. For Southview, 2026 RHP Will Colyer kept the Cougars within striking distance all game. The Terra State Baseball commit tossed six innings, allowing three runs on three hits and four walks while striking out six. He also contributed offensively, driving in a run at the plate. Padua now advances to face #6 University School Baseball in the Regional Final. University School earned its spot earlier in the day with a 4-1 victory over Defiance Baseball.
