Why is SACR taking the Parliament of RSA to court? Because South Africans were asked to make submissions on constitutional amendments and now those voices are being ignored. This legal challenge is about accountability, constitutional compliance, and protecting meaningful public participation. Support the litigation by donating to SACR. Donation link:

ANNOUNCEMENT: Parliament of RSA finally breaks its silence. We welcome the engagement and the upcoming Constitutional Review Committee proceedings tomorrow. However, South Africans deserve full transparency on what happened to their submissions and what comes next. Parliament’s legal adviser responded that healthcare is a basic right.

Today, SACR officially launches a BackaBuddy campaign to support legal action aimed at compelling Parliament of RSA to comply with its constitutional obligations relating to public participation, accountability and transparency. Funds raised will assist with litigation-related costs, legal consultation, court processes and constitutional advocacy. Public participation in constitutional processes cannot be symbolic. South Africans deserve to be heard. If you would like to support this effort, please donate using this link:

This Zimbabwean lady didn’t hold back. She told her fellow citizens scattered across the world that calling yourself “educated” while doing low-level work in other people’s countries isn’t exactly an achievement. And maybe it lands differently coming from one of their own, because if we say the same thing, suddenly it’s labeled xenophobia.
