Jayden Daniels, left elbow dislocated again. Will be ruled out today. Will likely miss time. Commanders could consider surgery so the ligament does not dislocate so easily.

Jayden Daniels could return sooner than expected with an elbow brace, but he’ll likely need it for the rest of the season. Why surgery could still be considered, and why not operating after the first dislocation wasn’t a mistake.

Sam Darnold’s hip injury could be long-term if X-rays are positive for a fracture. It’s not a dislocation, as Darnold was able to limp off the field. The main concern is a posterior wall acetabular fracture. Worry meter is high.

Ed Oliver wasn’t on the injury report, then injured his hip during warmups and was ruled inactive 90 minutes before kickoff. By video, it appears to be a right hip flexor strain. Why his Week 3 status is now in doubt.

No boot. No crutches. No visible limp on Thursday. I think Ashton Jeanty plays Week 1.

Patrick Mahomes underwent surgery tonight to repair his ACL. The timing and the surgeon who performed the surgery essentially confirms he also tore his LCL, which makes his recovery more difficult.

The fact that Tyreek Hill had surgery tonight and not last night is good news. He’ll need multiple procedures to reconstruct his knee. Out at least 1 year, maybe 2. Still career-threatening.

Jake Paul suffered a mandible fracture that is broken in two places and will require surgery, likely involving two or more plates, with the possibility of tooth loss. 6-month recovery, jaw potentially wired shut.

Drake Maye injured his right throwing shoulder against the Broncos. How severe the injury is, and the exact diagnosis, remains to be determined. Heading into Super Bowl LX, I’m far more concerned about Maye’s shoulder than Sam Darnold’s oblique.
