This was such a sick response from Thomas Detry about not getting the LIV #USOpen exemption. “The way I’m playing golf, I don’t think it’s possible for me NOT to play in the US Open.” Aces confidence! ✅ 4Aces GC 😎 dark horse next week!

The funny thing is people think if something happens to #LIVGolf that I’m going to go away lmao! 😂 I’ll be 100x more insufferable. I will be triggering people way more & I won’t need to play nice anymore. I’ve been way too nice.

I loved this from Sergio & Bryson. The last 2 on the range on Thursday evening. Sergio wasn’t leaving until Bryson did. Both shot 68s after this. Expecting great things from these 2 on moving day! 📈📈 PGA Championship

Brixton Albert, the CEO of Performance Golf - brand behind Grant Horvat’s Lil Legends clubs - responded to the criticism of the $200 price point. This is how you address criticism - w/honesty & transparency. Golf’s biggest challenge is the flood of hate/snark that comes with new things. No one has seen that more clearly than me the last 4 years. The only way to overcome that is to take criticism head on - you can’t hide from it. 💯

Patrick Reed talked about his decision not to sign his LIV contract & come back to the PGA TOUR. “It definitely happened quickly.” “Wanted to get back to the traditional way of golf.” “I really enjoyed all my time over at LIV… it was a blast. I still pull for [4Aces GC]”

I thought this was a really important point from Brad Dalke’s post round. There are different kinds of grind. Grinding on a range for hours isn’t always the path to getting better. Playing actual golf for some consequence is - YouTube golf does that for many. Brad Dalke

Gotta give Luke Poulter credit. He’s really rebounded from his back issues in 2024, won multiple 🏆 in college & has elevated into the Top 5 in WAGR. Impressive stuff. 👍🏽 Here he is playing 8-10 at Merion at the US Amateur. USGA

Rory talking about how the 12 month equipment manufacturer release cycles may be negatively impacting his game is really interesting. Goes underreported and IFL we’re getting to a critical mass where this should probably change soon. #YouKnowWhoYouAre

Was interesting hearing Rory McIlroy talk about the courses he’s yet to play that are on his list. Notables: 🇦🇺 New South Wales 🇺🇸 Bandon Dunes 🇺🇸 Pasatiempo 😮 🇺🇸 Fishers Island 🇺🇸 Chicago GC 🇮🇪 Waterville Golf Links Hard to believe he’s never played Pasatiempo Golf Club!

This woman makes Rachel Uchitel look like Princess Di. Let’s be real. #NoOffense I don’t dislike her, but we’ve gotta be honest. You cannot be “groomed” at 30 when you put out the vibe that she does. Literally nothing happened. Sh*t is Fugazi! #AshleyPerez

Here’s Jimmy Dunne talking about how the framework agreement came about. He & Ed Herlihy determined that Yasir could not run pro golf because he didn’t know Seminole GC. 👨🏽‍💻 Also, sounds like this whole rift probably could have been avoided if JD had listened to DJ pre-LIV. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Look, I’m glad the golf media seems to have embraced the AK story today, as I hoped they would. But they’ve also done their best to ignore it and/or be cynical for 2 yrs. AK even said the same post-round - it’s real. I hope this is an inflection & self-reflection point for the media & we see some real change. My opinion is irrelevant TBH. I listen to the players & people material to this, like AK. Once their feelings change, my feelings about the media will change. It’s on no one else but you, the media. (You know who you are).

Bryson spoke with Amanda Balionis today about the state of his game. He’s super confident going into this week having won the last 2 LIV Golf events. Now it’s really just about fine tuning based on the conditions of the course. Expecting a great week from Bryson! 👍🏽

1 of the best parts about YouTube golf are the interactions btw the golf shots. Ryan Fox did a video with Taco Golf late last year & they had an interesting convo about his golf swing & how it’s evolved. Aesthetics don’t get the ball in the hole. Great stuff. Ryan Fox

In his the Memorial presser, Rory doubled down on his desire to make his own schedule, which equates to about 18 to 20 events between the DP World Tour, PGA TOUR & Majors. Also sounds like the FedEx Cup name might be going away - 2027 is the final year of the sponsorship deal.

Bryson did an incredible segment on the range today at The Open with his coach, Dana Dahlquist. They walked through using Sportsbox3D (that I’ve also used). Def think BAD should have a 2nd YT channel only for golf nerds where he can unpack “passive torque” & other complexities!
