A brilliant snapshot of the art of Irish haggling and rural life, captured in an episode of Halls Pictorial Weekly in 1973.

A glimpse inside The Stag’s Head in the 1960s. Much of what you see is still there today..the mahogany bar, red granite counter, stained glass and ornate Victorian fittings, dating from its 1890s refurbishment. Even the famous stag’s head has watched over the bar since 1903.
