Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there. I am grateful for the gift of fatherhood and for every man who wakes up each day trying to do right by his children. None of us is perfect, but our children do not need perfection. They need our love, our time, our guidance, and our presence. Life can be difficult, and sometimes the responsibilities of fatherhood can feel overwhelming. Even so, walking away from our children should never be an option. Long after the money is spent and the gifts are forgotten, our children will remember whether we were there for them. Let us keep showing up. Let us keep supporting our children and respecting and caring for their mothers. Let us keep doing the little things that make a big difference in a child's life: listening, encouraging, teaching, protecting, and loving. Fatherhood is one of God's greatest callings. The fact that a child can look at us and call us "Dad" is both a blessing and a responsibility. May we never take it for granted. To all fathers doing their best, especially those making sacrifices that no one sees, thank you. May God give us the wisdom, strength, and patience to raise our children well.

This afternoon, I had the pleasure of speaking with a man I respect a lot, the legendary Aloysius Joy Matovu. For 47 years now, he has dedicated his life to Ugandan theatre, touching countless lives through his work as an actor and playwright. His passion for the craft remains as inspiring today as it was when he began his journey in 1979. This weekend, we have a chance to celebrate and support a living legend. Aloysius Matovu and his team will be performing at the National Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, with two shows each day, one at 2:30 PM and another at 7:00 PM. The performances will celebrate mothers and the special place they hold in our lives. If you can, please make time and attend. Let us support our theatre, celebrate our mothers, and show appreciation to one of the people who has dedicated decades of his life to entertaining, educating, and inspiring us. See you at the National Theatre.

I had the pleasure of hosting a meeting with our valued partners from Absa Bank Uganda, led by Ms. Florence Tushabe, and SanlamAllianz Uganda, led by Mr. Muhammad Kivumbi. Moments like these remind me that the best partnerships are not measured by contracts, but by the value they create for people. Over the years, ABSA and Sanlam have been dependable partners to Victoria University, Kampala, and we are grateful for the professionalism, support, and quality of service they continue to provide. I am particularly appreciative of Sanlam's efforts to develop medical insurance solutions that genuinely work for employees. At 104, Esther Amoding has lived through generations, raising, guiding, and nurturing as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A life like hers is a blessing in itself, and we can only pray that God grants her more healthy and peaceful years. She was among the beneficiaries of the #RREyeCampBukedea, where she received care to help improve her vision and was also gifted a brand new wheelchair, making her daily life easier. Seeing her in that moment was deeply touching, and it stayed with me. I am truly grateful to the Ruparelia Family and the #RupareliaFoundation for making this possible. God bless women, and especially mothers. They give so much of themselves, often quietly, and truly deserve to be honoured every single day.
