Checking out a few waterfalls yesterday in the Superstitions! Carney Springs waterfall was flowing beautifully! I also visited another large waterfall running over Dacite Mine - not sure what this one's name is or if it even has one, but it was pretty cool! :)

I just spent 2 nights, 3 days in the beautiful and rugged Superstition Wilderness completing the "Icon Loop" - also my first solo overnighter! This is a loop originally created by Jerry Arizona, and over the years people have created their own variations of the loop. This is mine! I logged 34.5 miles and 9,126ft of elevation gain. It was challenging, both physically and mentally, but so rewarding in the end!

A few months ago, I completed the Superstition Icon Loop as my first solo backpacking trip. I was supposed to camp on top of Battleship Mountain on night 2, however that didn't quite go as planned. By the time I got to the first scramble - the wall - my legs were tired, shaky, and I didn't feel comfortable getting my heavy pack up safely. I still made it to the summit, but I had to drop my pack and camp lower than I had planned. Ever since then, it's been stuck in my head. So I came back - with fresh legs, more experience, and one goal: finish what I started and finally camp on top!
