Shooting the messenger? Rebel News reporter BANNED FOR LIFE from visiting Tim Hortons! Just when you think you’ve seen everything, along comes a story about a double-double turning into double trouble… You may recall our recent reports regarding Tim Hortons. We exposed the company for lying through its teeth at a recent presser. Tim Hortons said they were going to go back to hiring Canadian citizens. That would be great news if only it were true. That’s because Tim’s is STILL making use of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program! Check out the federal government’s job board. Tim’s currently has about 90 positions available under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Sure, Tim Hortons loves selling its wares to Canadians. As for hiring Canadians? Nah. Not so much… But get this: we discovered Tim Hortons has a very thin skin. Because when the executives at Canada’s biggest foodservice company saw our reports, they blew a fuse! You see, Tim’s is used to getting positive press from the mainstream media. Tim’s is one of the largest advertisers in Canada. This company has a cozy business arrangement with the trained seals in the mainstream media. And it boils down to this: report nice stuff about Tim’s, and Tim’s will cut some big cheques for ads. Quid pro quo. But unlike the mainstream media, Rebel News is not domesticated. We don’t bend the knee to this company or any other company. And so it was that Tim’s decided to play hardball. Which is to say, the company was so infuriated with our reporting that Rebel News was sent a legal letter. Here’s the skinny: for practicing unauthorized and unapproved journalism, I am now BANNED FOR LIFE from going to any Tim Hortons store in Canada! We’re not making this up! Here’s an excerpt from that letter: “David Menzies, due to past behaviour, is not, for any reason, permitted access to the premises, including parking lots, landscaped areas, and drive-thrus of any Tim Hortons restaurant in Canada, any and all manufacturing and distribution facilities owned or operated by TDL across Canada and the Tim Hortons offices in Montreal, Calgary and Toronto.” The letter is signed by a Mr. Tim Bit. (OK, we made up that last part. But the truth is, we don’t know who signed the letter because we can’t read the signature. But it sure looks like “Tim Bit” to us…) But seriously, such a cruel punishment, eh? You see, I can no longer purchase an inedible edible that tastes like a piece of rancid cardboard. I cannot venture into a bathroom that resembles a public beach in Mumbai, India. I can no longer gaze upon a baked goods display case overrun by insects. Oh, say it ain’t so! Gee, what other “delights” can I look forward to being banned from? Going for a scenic drive in Kapuskasing during a winter blizzard? Being denied floor seats at a Yoko Ono concert? Oh, the humanity…! Don’t worry, Tim’s. I promise to stay out of your filthy restaurants and never again consume your garbage cuisine. Besides, in the months ahead, some 700 Dunkin’ Donuts are going to open in Canada. We can’t wait! But get this: even me being on a public sidewalk near a Tim Hortons is unacceptable to the Tim Wits. That’s what we found out last Thursday when we returned to the Aurora Tim’s. Myself and cameraman Lincoln Jay obeyed the legal letter and recorded a follow-up video from the sidewalk along Wellington Street East. Alas, the mere sight of Rebel News staffers – even from afar – had the owner frothing mad. He actually called the cops! And incredibly, THREE York Regional Police cruisers rushed to the scene of the non-crime. They lingered there for more than an hour. Why? Who knows? Oh, just to put things in perspective, York Region is in the midst of its worst crime wave ever. And this is what law enforcement squanders its resources on? Unbelievable… So, in the final analysis, what have we learned about Tim Hortons? Firstly, this company is run by a bunch of traitors. Tim Hortons, which grossly wraps itself in the Maple Leaf, prefers to hire noncitizens over Canadians. Because this multi-billion dollar company is all about the bottom line and it will use any nickel-and-dime strategy to boost profits. Ethics mean nothing to this company. Secondly, Tim Hortons is run by bullies. We caught them in a blatant lie. And we called them out. And for the utter temerity of reporting the truth, they threaten me with arrest? These are Banana Republic garbage tactics. How sad. We think of the late great hockey player for whom this company is named. That Tim Horton must be rolling in his grave right now. 93 Tim Hortons locations are still hiring foreign workers right now! Tim Hortons lied to you. A couple of days ago, every regime media outlet in the country ran the same cheerful story: Tim Hortons, long notorious for importing cheap foreign labour, was turning over a new leaf. They were going to hire 10,000 “locals.” What a turnaround. What a company. Pass the double-double! I didn't buy it. So I went to the government's own temporary foreign worker website and did a quick search. I was shocked to find 93 Tim Hortons locations are actively advertising for temporary foreign workers. Literally at the same time their spin doctors are claiming they’re hiring Canadians. So I printed out the job postings, fired up our billboard truck, and headed to one of the foreign-staffed Tim Hortons to ask for the manager. The Tim Hortons I went to was offering $36 an hour for a restaurant manager. Their government of Canada job listing claimed that no Canadian would do the job. The Tim Hortons executive in the store told me he'd “never seen” the foreign worker ads before. Really? They're on the government TFW website. Anyone can look them up. I showed it to him live, on camera. He should tell that to the father I met outside, whose 21-year-old son can't find work. I spent nearly an hour out front talking to passersby. Not one person — not a single one — said Tim Hortons should keep hiring foreign workers over Canadians. And many of the people I spoke with were immigrants themselves. It's only Tim Hortons that disagrees. (Tim Hortons, by the way, is not even a Canadian company anymore. It's owned by a Brazilian hedge fund called 3G Capital.) Tim Hortons is lying about quitting cheap foreign labour. So we're going to drive that truck to the other locations still hiring foreign workers. It’s bad enough that they’re hiring foreigners instead of locals. It’s worse that they’re lying about it! I've been doing this long enough to know that corporations only change behaviour when they feel it in the till. REPORT by Ezra Levant 🍁🚛:

We were outside a government-funded refugee hotel doing a story when we noticed a man getting into a brand new SUV. We asked him how he could afford it... turns out, he used to live in the hotel. Now the government pays for his car and all his living expenses. Your tax dollars at work.

The Toronto police corruption scandal just keeps getting worse They must be joking! The Project South police corruption scandal investigation is being headed up by a cop immersed in scandal! You are NOT going to believe who is heading up the Project South police corruption investigation. Namely, a corrupt cop! By way of background, Project South was jointly announced in February by the Toronto Police Service and York Regional Police. The word “shocking” doesn’t even begin to convey the significance of the scandal. As we reported back in the wintertime, several police officers and civilian staffers, mostly employed by the Toronto Police Service but also with Peel Regional Police, were put under investigation for guns and drug trafficking, bribery, breach of trust, and even conspiracy to commit murder! Let us reiterate: these are police officers and civilian staffers of police forces facing numerous criminal charges. In other words, the “good guys”. Allegedly. Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw said at the time that corruption has no place in policing and that the force is committed to leaving no stone unturned and assorted other pronouncements of Grade-A bull-shite. But in the aftermath of all the hot air, how exactly is this initiative playing out? Especially given that Chief Demkiw promised the public a two-year anti-corruption initiative. Project South would get to the bottom of this scandal. It would re-establish trust in policing. Moving forward, the Toronto Police Service would be all about restoring accountability and transparency. And if you believe those whoppers, we have some oceanfront property for sale in Saskatoon… That’s because our ex-cop friend Jay Bannister, who now runs the superb MadLab Press website, found out who Chief Demkiw has appointed to run this anti-corruption unit. Namely, Superintendent Riyaz Hussein. Who’s that, you ask? Well for starters, Hussein is a police officer who is no stranger himself when it comes to being arrested and convicted of a crime! Here’s the skinny: Hussein used to serve as a quasi-judge at the Toronto Police Tribunal where he was in charge of judging bad cops and even handing down sentences to those cops found guilty. All of which is quite rich because Hussein is far from squeaky clean himself. Back in 2022, according to Oshawa court staff, Hussein pleaded guilty to driving with a blood alcohol level over .80 in connection with a crash that occurred in Pickering, Ont. Hussein, who was apparently as drunk as a skunk at the time of the accident, slammed his unmarked police cruiser into the back of a delivery truck on Highway 401. There was even an open bottle of liquor in his car – Appleton’s Rum to be precise. When Hussein was arrested by police at the scene of the accident, one officer noted that this reprobate was so inebriated that he could barely stand up. Hussien was later suspended with pay and, if you can believe it, was back on the job just a month later! He was also found guilty and sentenced to a one-year driving prohibition and fined $1,560. He was also demoted to inspector for a year. But get this: he would later be cranked up to superintendent again. Why? Nobody knows. And the irony could not be more perverse nor profound: the police officer in charge of Project South – the investigation into police corruption – is corrupt himself! The question arises: what the hell is Chief Demkiw thinking? Why is a convicted drunk driver investigating corrupt cops? Hussein shouldn’t even be employed as a meter maid. And so much for accountability and disclosure! It’s a joke, albeit one without a punchline. And this latest sordid chapter in Toronto Police history reminds us of one of our favourite Latin quotes: “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes.” Translation: “Who guards the guardians?”

Pearson airport employee investigated over alleged genocidal social media posts Surely, the Greater Toronto Airports Authority knew about Adil Ali's vile rhetoric online. But only when a media outlet gets wind of the story do they suddenly spring into action. Another day, another Islamist bozo eruption online. It never ends. And it’s staggering. Not only are these Islamists hateful, but they are also downright idiotic, given that they spew their vile rhetoric for all to see, thinking there will be no consequences, even when there are consequences in terms of gainful employment. Indeed, as we have chronicled for the past several months, wannabe jihadis lurk amongst us. And they are (or were) employed by major corporations ranging from Air Canada and Telus to Scotiabank and the Royal Bank of Canada. They spout online hatred, typically against Jews — but not exclusively, mind you. Many of these Islamists also hate Iranians who are anti-regime. And Palestinians who are anti-Hamas. And for some odd reason, they hate Indians too. Weird… And they all cross that proverbial line in the sand when it comes to free speech. Which is to say, they advocate harm, murder, and even genocide against identifiable groups. Our most recent candidate for the title of Online Islamist Bozo of the Year is Adil Ali. Our information comes courtesy of our friends at Leviathan. Adil Ali is an analyst for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority. This is the entity that operates Toronto Pearson International Airport, otherwise known as the world’s worst airport. We’re not exaggerating here. Pearson is the worst airport in the world, and yes, that includes airports that are in third-world countries. Ali called for the murder of nearly 10 million Israelis. He wants to see a nuclear weapon detonated in Israel. For what it’s worth, I don’t think he’s thought things through here. Dropping a nuke on Tel Aviv would result in radioactive fallout that would spread to several Islamic regimes in the Middle East. But never mind. The very idea of having nearly 10 million Israelis incinerated puts a smile on Ali’s face, and hey, as they say, if you want to make an omelet, you gotta break a few eggs, right? Ali also believes Israeli Jews are “[the] chosen people of the devil." And he refers to their places of worship as “the synagogue of Satan.” Nice. He also believes that all those synagogues that were shot up in Toronto these past two and a half years were the handiwork of Jews themselves. Naturally, he doesn’t have a scintilla of evidence to support such an outrageous claim. But never mind. Referring to Indians, Ali believes they send their money home for the purpose of “feeding cows”, which is a dig at Hindu culture. So, the question is: Who among you wants such a psycho working in Canada’s largest airport? Who among you wants a hateful Islamist getting his hands on luggage or having access to jets? I mean, what could possibly go wrong? We reached out to the media relations department of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority. Here were our questions: Is the GTAA aware of Mr. Ali’s hateful rants online? If so, why is this being tolerated? Does this behaviour violate the GTAA’s code of conduct guidelines? What does the GTAA have to say to those Canadians who are disturbed that someone calling for genocide via the nuking of other countries also happens to be working in a sensitive position at Canada’s largest airport? I am not sure if you are aware of this, but the GTAA automated phone system is a disaster. I called to speak with Mr. Ali and was transferred to Delta Airlines. Subsequent calls were fruitless. Therefore, can you kindly pass on my contact information to Mr. Ali so that I can get his side of the story? The GTAA did get back to us, and while they did not specifically answer our queries, the following statement was provided: Toronto Pearson’s security team is actively investigating allegations that an individual working for an airport employer made hateful and threatening comments on social media. The investigation is still ongoing, but the employer has been notified, and the individual’s security access has been suspended. Toronto Pearson takes these allegations very seriously and has zero tolerance for any behaviour that compromises safety or violates our standards of conduct. In the days ahead, we will follow up with the GTAA to find out how this investigation is proceeding. But seriously, if any entity should be sensitive to threats to public safety, you’d think it would be Toronto Pearson International Airport. After all, this was the airport where Air India 182 departed on June 23, 1985. Khalistani terrorists were able to embed a bomb in a piece of luggage. The plane blew up over the Atlantic Ocean near Ireland. All 329 on board died. It remains Canada’s worst act of terrorism. Right now, the GTAA is at least doing something right by removing Ali’s security clearance and conducting an investigation. But again, like all those aforementioned companies that were outed for having an Islamist bozo on the payroll, the GTAA appears to be doing the right thing for the wrong reason. Which is to say, surely they knew about Ali’s vile rhetoric online. But it was ignored. Why? Cultural sensitivity? Reasonable accommodation? But when a media outlet gets wind of the story, the GTAA suddenly springs into action. Not due to safety reasons, mind you, but to prevent the GTAA from receiving yet another public relations black eye.

Canada is at a breaking point — we need remigration now! Canada has a migration problem. We need to fix it — fast. Canada’s population now stands at almost 41 million people. A decade ago, it was about 36 million. And no, that growth was not caused by a baby boom. Mass migration is driving the increase, including permanent immigration, illegal immigration, temporary foreign workers and international students. There have been serious unintended consequences. Canada’s long-standing assumption was that newcomers would come here, pursue the Canadian dream, make use of the opportunities Canada provides, and in return respect our laws, our values and our way of life. That assumption has failed. In recent years, Canadians have seen disturbing examples of people bringing foreign conflicts, extremist politics and old hatreds into our streets. After the Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel on October 7, 2023, demonstrations began in Canada almost immediately. Too many of them were not about condemning the slaughter of innocent people, but about excusing or celebrating it. Since then, Jewish communities in Canada have faced assaults, threats, vandalism, intimidation, hate marches and open displays of antisemitism. And too often, authorities and law enforcement have shrugged their shoulders. Meanwhile, barely a month goes by without demonstrations by temporary foreign workers or international students demanding to stay in Canada permanently. But “temporary” is supposed to mean temporary. A temporary foreign worker is a guest who must leave when it is time to do so. An international student is here for an education, not an automatic pathway to permanent residency and citizenship. Canada’s official multiculturalism policy began in 1971, when Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau announced it in the House of Commons. The idea was that newcomers could keep their cultures while participating fully in Canadian society. But there was always an unspoken deal: you can come to Canada, pursue opportunity and build a better life — but you must obey the law, respect Canadian values and not import foreign hatred or violence into this country. That deal has been broken. At the same time, Canada is facing a youth unemployment crisis. Young Canadians are struggling to find part-time jobs, summer jobs and entry-level work. The national youth unemployment rate is alarmingly high, and many Canadian students are being pushed out of opportunities they once relied on. By every major economic benchmark — unemployment, cost of living, food bank usage and homelessness — shows that Canadians are under pressure. So the question must be asked: how do we win the war on poverty by importing more poverty? The political class continues to double down on mass migration. But Canada must put country before party, citizens before cheap labour, and Canadian values before political games. The time has come to say enough is enough. This trend must be reversed. If you are a temporary foreign worker, then you are temporary. If you are an international student, you are here for an education, not guaranteed permanent residency. And if you are applying for citizenship while embracing terrorism or rejecting Canadian values, then Canada should have the right to say no. Do you agree? Sign the petition today at and take a stand for Canada, Canadian workers and Canadian values. REPORT by David Menzies:

Tim Hortons claims to prioritize hiring Canadians but job postings tell a different story Tim Hortons has positioned itself as a Canadian icon, wrapping itself in the flag while simultaneously lobbying the government to expand and entrench the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) program. Lately, it seems Tim Hortons has been feeling the fall out of their deteriorating brand. As Dunkin’ Donuts announces its expansion into Canada, the once Canadian staple now claims it will commit to hiring local — whatever that means. However, their active job listings on the government of Canada’s Job Bank tell a difference story. Tim Hortons currently has roughly 800 active postings recruiting temporary foreign workers across the country, including management roles paying up to $36 per hour. One such posting for the rural, southeastern Ontario Havelock location was removed only recently. As Rebel News continues to expose Tim Hortons’ heavy reliance on the TFW program — which is nothing against the workers themselves who are simply navigating a system ripe for exploitation — this has triggered tough questions about corporate priorities while Canadian youth struggle with a growing jobs crisis. One in five young Canadians report being unable to find an entry-level job, and positions such as a counter worker at Tim Hortons used to give those entry-level opportunities to youth. Instead, many locations now appear dominated by temporary, foreign staff. Street interviews at the Tim Hortons location in Havelock revealed strong public sentiment toward hiring Canadians first. “I think it’s terrible,” said one patron, on the influx of foreign labour. “We’ve got to stay true to our core as well. When we lose the balance, we fail as a humanity.” Another local resident observed: “I just know that these are the type of positions that kids can start off working… I go to my local Tim Hortons, I don’t see that population being represented.” Several interviewees admitted they now avoid the chain when possible, citing a feeling that it has become “foreign” to them and lamenting the lack of alternatives in rural areas with drive-thrus. One current employee confirmed the skewed staffing reality, noting scheduling practices that place more English-speaking staff during the busy morning rush, with TFWs often assigned to later shifts. Tim Hortons has responded to this scrutiny not with greater transparency, but by trespassing Rebel News journalists, including Ezra Levant and David Menzies, across multiple locations. During this Havelock report, Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched after store owners complained that two female journalists were speaking to customers. This is another perfect example of how Tim Hortons locations are abusing resources, especially in a small community without it’s own police force. Canadians already pour hundreds of millions of dollars into the TFW program every year, and now they’re forced to foot the bill for police to handle fallout from critical media coverage too. As Canada enters a ‘technical’ recession and youth unemployment is rising, the core issue remains pretty straightforward: entry-level service jobs that once built work experience for Canadian teens and young adults are now being sidelined by a federal program meant for genuine labour shortages. “Put Canadians first,” was the repeated message from the sidewalk. “Hire Canadians before foreign workers. I don’t have anything against people coming to our country… but it also shouldn’t be on the backs of Canadians. And especially Canadian youth.” Tim Hortons’ actions continue to test whether a national brand still believes its future lies with the communities it serves or with cheaper, temporary labour that undercuts them. The public is watching. REPORT by Tamara Ugolini 🇨🇦:
