Karetsas assist from BVB training. As you would expect - prepare for him to drop deep to get on the ball in this system 👍🏻🇬🇷

One of FC #Porto’s attempted solutions to navigate Stuttgart’s aggressive man-to-man marking from a goal-kick. 🐉🇵🇹 🔷 Bring 10’s much lower 🔷 Create the large distances between midfield and defense for VFB 🔷 Timing of lateral shift to create direct route from GK to winger

Another excellent variation of Porto’s ball progression vs the Sporting mid-block (4-4-2 / 4-2-4). It will be interesting to see what changes are made from Sporting in the next meeting as this was one of #Porto’s most dynamic attacking performances of the season.

If Gadou's duel engagement can be polished then forget about it. The last one got me out of my seat.

BVB has struggled to build from the back for years. Preseason, Bundesliga, UCL, Pokal. 3 main flaws: Predictability, distances between players, lack of deep-lying playmakers. Just take a brief glimpse at their competitors and then contrast it with Dortmund’s approach 🎥🇩🇪

Porto v Gil Vicente (Build-Up v Mid-Block) 🔷 GV’s front two grew increasingly fixated on staying narrow enough to cut off a pass from Porto’s CB’s to single pivot. 🔷 This elevated the commitment from GV’s double-pivot to cover FCP’s 10’s. 🔷 FCP - Capitalize 🎥⬇️
