ICE detained a Navajo man for 4 hours after he identified himself, offered his Tribal ID, Certificate of Indian Blood, and birth certificate. They told him he must be stealing someone’s identity and that they would “get his family next.” As he described it: “I was treated as if we haven’t earned our place here. This is our place. This is beyond racism, they hate us like we were pests and rodents in their home, but this is OUR home, and always has been.” It is against the Constitution and against basic human dignity to detain and arrest someone for the color of their skin. ICE must be stopped and Secretary Noem removed from office.

No one should fear getting deported after their doctor’s appointment, at church, or at school. Trump’s cruel immigration quotas and indiscriminate raids need to stop. We will not be silent when members of our community are targeted and children are separated from their families.

It wasn't enough to cut Medicaid, Medicare, and SNAP—Republicans just voted to authorize themselves to RAISE YOUR TAXES without the required 3/5ths vote. Their 60 page, last minute amendment says it plain and simple. They are getting ready to raise taxes on low income working families.

🚨BREAKING: New Mexico just announced we will be using $30 Million in state funds to make sure people don’t go hungry on November 1st. Our state is saying loud and clear, ‘we’re not going to wait for Trump to do the right thing,’ because a hungry child cannot wait for their food. Grateful for Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham for her leadership, and to the state legislature for protecting New Mexicans from Trump’s attacks.
