Wait so you’re telling me I need my marriage certificate to register to vote? Like I do if I were to change my name, update tax records, get an ID in a new state, apply for a passport, add my husband to my insurance or manage a joint bank account? And that’s a bridge too far?

So requiring proof of citizenship to vote is suddenly “voter suppression”? Let’s be honest about what’s really being implied here. The claim that Black Americans cannot obtain ID is not empowerment… it is a deeply insulting stereotype. Millions of Black Americans hold driver’s licenses, passports, military IDs, professional credentials, bank accounts, and businesses. We fly on airplanes, buy homes, start companies, and serve this country at every level. But when election integrity comes up… suddenly we’re told Black voters are incapable of basic identification? That isn’t protection. That’s soft bigotry dressed up as compassion. Every legitimate democracy verifies voters. Verification protects legal voters… it doesn’t silence them. This is propaganda. You can get a REAL ID at the DMV. Solution: fast-track all passports and requests for birth certificates. Make IDs, passports,marriage and birth certificates free for 1 year. Problem solved.

Real ID driver’s licenses have been required for flying since May 2025. Real ID validates citizenship. That’s all you have to show to register and vote.

All the arguments against voter ID are retarded. I got married and changed my last name, and the first thing I did was get a new drivers license and a new Social Security card. This is basic stuff, but apparently it’s an IQ test for Democrats.

Not everyone has a passport, but you don’t need a passport. EVERYONE was born and CAN get a certified copy of their birth certificate. This passport argument is a red herring.

I recently got my Driver’s license updated, and got REAL ID or I couldn’t fly without a major hassle. TSA doesn’t make it easy showing your Passport. My ID has an American flag on it signifying that I am a US citizen. I went to my local Secretary of State’s office. It was amazingly quick and amazingly EASY! It’s a one time deal to show your birth certificate (I didn’t have the original, just an embossed card) marriage license if your name has changed, and your driver’s license. I can now get into Canada without a passport because it designates my US citizenship. You are assuming people are mentally incapacitated. They are not. If they can apply for welfare, SNAP, Medicaid, they can do what’s necessary to get a REAL ID. QUIT MAKING EXCUSES. MAKE OUR ELECTIONS SECURE!

Try again—you can’t even grab Sudafed without flashing your ID. If you’re too dumb, too lazy, or too strung-out to get yourself a single piece of government ID, then congratulations: you’ve officially earned a lifetime ban from deciding who runs the country. Sit this democracy out, genius.

If it’s passed today, guess what? They have 11 months to get a birth certificate, which cost on the high end $60 and takes around 10 days. Married women have 11 months to get a copy of their marriage license, which costs even less and can be obtained just as easily. You don’t have to get a passport. This has been coming for years. I obtained a copy of my birth certificate two years ago. I know exactly where it is. I know where my license is. I have a copy of a marriage certificate of my ex-wife were to need a copy. Stop acting like this bill is asking the impossible and that it suppresses anything other than election fraud.

The real danger is not having voter ID. The Save Act is protecting my rights as a voter. There is no excuse for not having voter ID.

You’re concerned with illegals not being able to vote. I had to provide a birth certificate to simply take an electrical apprenticeship test. It’s not that hard to get a birth certificate. If voting is so important to you, then go get one.

What about the Real ID law? supposed to get a Real ID (they’ve had 15+ years, right)? Doesn’t that require birth certificate?
