In the wake of Maine’s worst mass shooting, America stepped up, donated nearly $7 million for victims and survivors. Nearly $2 million ended up going to NON-PROFITS, 9 of them Somali organizations. UPDATE: as more survivors and victim families demand accountability, the Maine Oversight cmte is going to address this in September. One non-profit has given the money back.

🚨EXCLUSVE: State of California Conceals Incriminating Text Messages About Cause of Deadly Palisades Fire, Despite Court Orders The State of California was ORDERED to turn over all text messages back in December but withheld key text messages from Palisades victims until now, after depositions of State Parks employees were completed. The newly ‘discovered’ texts are damning, and more evidence of a massive cover up by the State of California. One text confirms that a State Parks employee saw “smoke and smoldering roots” on January 2, but didn’t report it. A second text shows a State Park employee saw the Lachman burn scar smoking just FOUR HOURS before Palisades Fire started on January 7 — “Wow the burn scar is doing its best dust bowl impression. Be safe out there” — but State Parks didn’t do a thing. 12 people died and 7,000 homes were destroyed in the Palisades fire.

I’ve been on the ground covering the disaster East Palestine, Ohio since the beginning. But what most people don't understand is that three years later, the situation is getting WORSE, not better. Toxin levels are now growing. Residents are sick. I spoke to a whistleblower from the EPA who is exposing what the agency did not do in East Palestine and what they need to do.
