I am committed to supporting Congress in advancing the CLARITY Act, including providing technical assistance. American leadership in the digital finance revolution means matching the energy of American innovators with a regulatory framework worthy of them.

Under my leadership, efforts are well underway to reform the regulatory landscape and Make IPOs Great Again. Every IPO is an invitation to workers and savers to participate in the prosperity of the next generation of American enterprise.

When I took office 1 year ago, I promised a new day at the SEC. And we've delivered. With our agenda to restore regulatory clarity, strengthen competitiveness, and accelerate innovation, we are making sure the U.S. remains the world’s strongest and safest place to invest.

Our interpretation on crypto assets—grounded in existing law and informed by extensive public input—acknowledges what the former administration refused to recognize... Most crypto assets are not themselves securities.

This is a big week for crypto – Congress is on the cusp of upgrading our financial markets for the 21st century. I am wholly supportive of Congress providing clarity on the jurisdictional split between the SEC and the CFTC.

Tokenization has the potential to transform our financial markets—increasing transparency and creating greater predictability. Under my leadership, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is embracing innovation and working to provide clarity for market participants.

Thanks to the leadership of President Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Trump Accounts will launch this week on July 4th. This historic opportunity will help countless American families, especially our next generation, build wealth and access the American Dream.

We must focus on giving innovators, especially in digital asset markets, the ability to innovate at home under U.S. laws for the benefit of the U.S. economy and U.S. investors. Through our harmonization efforts with the CFTC, we're delivering long overdue clarity in this space.

Before it was a nation, America was an investment. In that same spirit, the launch of Trump Accounts marks a historic opportunity for the next generation to invest in the American Dream. I applaud President Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent for their work to deliver this initiative.

Public markets are the anchor of American capital formation. Today’s proposed rulemakings (along with our recent rule proposal on semiannual reporting) mark significant steps toward transforming our rulebook for public companies so more Americans can invest in our economy.

The American way of life is exceptional, not inevitable. The founding vision of our nation was always to serve and safeguard risk-takers, not to second-guess or stifle them; to create the conditions for their flourishing, not to control them.

Today, we hosted a joint roundtable with CFTC on regulatory harmonization. I look forward to working with my counterparts across the Administration to ensure the SEC and CFTC operate side by side so that American innovation and investment can thrive.
