The Government has detained and removed over 35,000 people with no right to be here. But this is only the beginning. I will scale up the removal of illegal migrants. I will do whatever it takes to secure our borders.

I vowed to scale up removals of illegal migrants - and we have. Almost 60,000 illegal migrants and foreign criminals have been removed or deported, but we must go further. I will do whatever it takes to restore order and control.

For too long, violence against women and girls has been considered a fact of life. That's not good enough - we will halve it in a decade. We are introducing a range of measures to bear down on rapists, sex offenders and abusers so that they have nowhere to hide.

This Labour government has already deported more foreign criminals than the Tories did last year. If you come to our country and commit a crime, you have no place here.

We start this week in Birmingham as we finished the last: not taking anything for granted and fighting for every vote.

On Monday, I will announce the most significant changes to our asylum system in modern times 👇

This weekend's Ijtima in Barham was due to be attended by over 10,000 Muslims. Instead, it ended early after a credible extreme right-wing terrorism-related threat to the lives of those present. Twelve individuals have now been arrested as part of an investigation led by Counter Terrorism Police.

It is easy to see last week's footage of small boat crossings and think that is the whole story. The truth is, it isn't.

Those who enter public life do so to serve. They should never face threats, abuse or violence. We owe it to those we've lost, and those serving today, to ensure they receive the protection they deserve.

Violence and intimidation directed at any community are attacks on us all. We are providing an extra £10 million to strengthen security at places of worship, ensuring Muslim communities are protected. The right to follow your faith - free from hatred and fear - must be defended.

Today, we have dealt a blow to the smuggler gangs. The removal of small boat migrants to France has begun. I will do whatever it takes to secure our borders – and this is a vital first step.

Protest is a fundamental right. But this right must not be used to intimidate or spread fear amongst communities. I will grant police forces new powers to put conditions on repeat protests.

I am the child of immigrants. Illegal migration is creating division across our country. It is a broken system and we have a genuine problem to fix. My job is to find a proper solution that can unite a divided country.

This year's Five Eyes summit just made you safer from fraud and violent extremism. Here's how 👇

I've signed a new agreement with Belgium to target organised criminal gangs, like those behind the small boat crossings. Here’s why it matters 👇

There will never be a two tier sentencing approach under this Labour Government.

Abuse of the asylum system is eroding people's support for providing asylum at all. I believe we must continue to protect those in need, now and for generations to come. But to do so, we must restore order to our borders.

Thousands more raids and dodgy shops closed. Hundreds of bosses behind bars. Millions in dirty cash seized. That is the fate awaiting the criminal gangs operating in plain sight on our high streets.

The challenge we face today is to fight for our belief in a greater Britain, not a littler England.

This is the week we said: enough. We are restoring order and control. And we will unite a divided country.

The St George's Cross and the Union Jack belong to us all. They are symbols of unity, a kingdom united, and they must never be used to divide us.

Britain is a land that belongs to all of us. We must take a collective stand against antisemitism.

An attack on our Jewish community is an attack on us all.

We face a rising tide of antisemitism throughout the UK. Now, up to £10 million in new funding will help protect Jewish communities - but we must go further to fight for a society that is free from hatred and violence. As your Home Secretary, I am committed to this fight.
