Just imagine a staggering ₹3,200 crores spent on building the world’s highest tunnel, the Atal Tunnel, and within just a few years it has started leaking like anything. What does this say about our infrastructure? A tunnel inaugurated by PM Modi with such pride hasn’t even completed five years, and today it stands as a risky passage that thousands of people use every day. With the massive Rohtang Pass right above it, the consequences of any structural weakness are unthinkable. Whether this is due to serious engineering defects or unsustainable materials being used, one thing is clear the safety of this tunnel is compromised. This isn’t just a minor repair issue, it’s a ticking time bomb. A project of such national importance cannot be allowed to crumble so soon. It must be reviewed with immediate effect, experts should be called in, and accountability must be fixed before a big tragedy occurs. We cannot afford to treat this lightly lives, trust, and thousands of crores are at stake!

Every now and then, videos like these prove that maybe the only way forward is to have simple cars limited to 80 km/h with no advanced features at all. Truly sad to see how misuse overshadows progress! ☺️

For the people travelling to high-altitude regions please understand how dangerous altitude can be. At Shinkula Pass, around 15,000 feet, a family got stranded for hours with a 6-month-old baby who suddenly became unconscious and unresponsive. The family had no idea it was due to the lack of oxygen and the extreme altitude. Thankfully, someone aware of altitude sickness immediately gave oxygen to the child, and within seconds the baby started crying again. A few seconds of help literally saved a life. People travelling uphill must read and learn about altitude sickness. Low oxygen levels and AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) can be dangerous even for healthy adults imagine the risk for a 6-month-old child. Please avoid taking very small children to such extreme altitudes. Before travelling: • Stay properly hydrated • Consult doctors and carry medicines like Diamox if advised • Always carry an oxygen cylinder, no matter how confident you are • Read about the location and ask locals before heading further uphill This time angels came to save the child. Nazar is a real thing! A few days ago I uploaded a picture of this car, and just after driving it for 2–3 days, the E20 petrol completely messed up the fuel system. The fuel pump gave up, the tank had to be drained, and now the engine has started misfiring with rough, unusual idling something that never happened before. This is a 1997 inline-4 petrol engine, and it’s the first time I’ve ever seen it behave like this. The older the vehicle, the more severe the impact of E20 seems to be. Forget civic sense who designs roads like this? It’s a complete failure of engineering. An underpass, an elevated flyover, or even a proper roundabout could have easily prevented this daily traffic jam. Ironically, Green corridor were built to reduce congestion, yet this is the result. We must accept that we seriously lack planning skills when it comes to road infrastructure!

A recent example is a famous YouTuber, with no real driving skills or high-altitude experience, who had to be rescued at Umling La Pass yesterday the world’s highest motorable pass. He himself mentions black ice in the video, and also says there was no other person or vehicle around. This raises a serious question: why are such YouTubers even granted permission to travel to extremely risky passes like this, especially during dangerous seasons? Incidents like these not only put civilian lives at risk but also unnecessarily endanger and distract the Indian Army. People in India still don’t understand what acclimatization really means, or how important water and oxygen are, and where we are heading with this careless travel culture. Watching reels and suddenly leaving for extreme high-altitude places is dangerous. I stayed at Umling La for almost two hours despite having medical issues, while many people can’t even stay there for 10 minutes all because I properly acclimatized, started drinking 2–3 litres of water two days before the journey, and understood how the body adapts. The worst cases are people who directly reach 18,000 ft from the plains without giving their body any time to adjust. High altitude is not a joke. Your body needs gradual adaptation, awareness, and experience built over years. But who is guiding people? No one. People just watch reels and leave. Always read about the place you are travelling to the altitude, temperature, oxygen levels, road conditions and always talk to locals before heading into extreme regions! 🙏🏻

After 15 years in motorsport and travelling across the Himalayas, I can say this in written. Let winter arrive, and places like Leh, Spiti, and other parts of Himachal will face the real impact. At temperatures touching -30°C in Spiti, even normal petrol used to struggle. We often carried octane boosters to improve cold-weather performance. Petrol was still more reliable than diesel, which could gel in extreme conditions. Now imagine fuel that absorbs moisture. In freezing temperatures, that moisture can freeze, restrict fuel flow, block fuel lines, crack pipes, and prevent ignition altogether. A vehicle can become completely immobile when it’s needed the most. For nearly six months every year, people in these regions depend on petrol vehicles for medical emergencies, essential supplies, and daily life. Fuel isn’t a luxury there it’s a lifeline. This is a serious technical issue that nobody seems to be discussing today. I’d strongly urge the automobile industry to make dashcams a standard safety feature in all vehicles. Too often, we see hit-and-run cases where the culprits flee without accountability. A dashcam isn’t just a gadget it’s a necessity for our own safety, protection, and proof in such situations. Chandigarh was much better back when challans were issued manually people actually feared breaking the rules. But now, most of the reckless driving you see is by outsiders. You’ll rarely find a CH-number car in such incidents; it’s usually PB, HR, or DL plates. Just imagine how many lives can be put at risk in mere seconds because of such behaviour. No offence, but vehicles like the Verna, Creta, and Thar often end up in the same bracket when it comes to rash driving

Did a simple ethanol check myself yesterday! Watch it till the end! Took 170 mL of E20 petrol, added 20 mL of water, shook it well, and after the layers separated, the water/ethanol layer measured 40 mL. That suggests roughly 20 mL of ethanol in 170 mL of fuel around 11.8% ethanol (roughly E12), not E20. If my calculations are correct, then I have a genuine question: has the ethanol content quietly been reduced from E20 to E12 temporarily because of a widespread backlash? or is there another explanation for these results? Either way, this also shows how readily ethanol attracts water and what moisture inside a fuel tank can potentially do over time. Happy to be corrected if my calculations or the test method are wrong!! ☺️

If BMW is recommending this, then the issue is clearly serious. I’ve been told BMW is recommending the BMW TwinPower Turbo Fuel Additive an injector cleaner that’s typically added to a full 80L tank. It’s additive typically made to clean fuel injectors, combustion chambers, and the entire fuel system while protecting against corrosion and rust buildup. So now, are we expected to spend around ₹4,500 extra every full tank just to protect our engines? If that’s the case, why should vehicle owners bear this additional cost? Any BMW owner here has your dealership or service centre also recommended this additive? Please confirm and share your experience!!

Trust me 10 years from now, you won’t see a 10-year-old Thar on the roads, unlike the cars we have today. Without even being in the mountains or risky zones, someone managed to topple theirs in the middle of flat fields. The truth is, it has poor tyre quality, zero real suspension comfort, and questionable stability control. Many owners simply can’t handle the vehicle; I drove one for two years and can say it nearly cost me my life due to tyre issues. The day I sold my Thar was a relief. I don’t understand why people treat cars like toys ₹20–25 lakh worth of metal destroyed in minutes. India really needs to phase this vehicle out, or at the very least, the government should guide and regulate its use before it becomes a serious societal problem.

This is becoming a serious issue now. In the last 20 days, two of my friend’s Defender 110 2.0L petrols in Chandigarh started missing. Both had to be sent to the dealership on flatbeds, where the fuel pumps were replaced (a part that costs around ₹70,000, covered under warranty). One of them was sent just the day before yesterday. If anyone doubts this, feel free to DM me. If Gadkari ji or anyone from the government wants proof, I can provide written documentation from JLR. The real question is: why are manufacturers staying silent instead of acknowledging the issue? Replacing failed parts under warranty is one thing, but customers deserve transparency about what’s causing these repeated failures.

What’s happening to people these days? A Tata Curvv (CH01DA0537) was allegedly being driven rashly and repeatedly flashing high-beam lights at a vehicle someone known to me. Unable to brake in time, the Tata Curvv reportedly rammed into the car from behind. Instead of accepting responsibility, the occupants became aggressive, allegedly attempted to assault the driver, Captured even in Dashcam, and even damaged the car’s windows. Thankfully, he managed to leave the spot before the situation escalated further. It’s disturbing to see incidents like this unfold simply because of ego and road rage. A written complaint has already been submitted to Rupnagar Police. Strict action should be taken against such individuals to ensure the safety of law-abiding citizens and to prevent such behavior from becoming common on our roads. Imagine being stranded at 12:00 midnight with barely any battery, and Tata’s response is: “Oops, sorry you’re at a Tata EV charger we are from Tata motors team . One team member said he was busy with family and couldn’t talk. No customer care, no urgency, no real help. Also, serious question how did you call me without me sharing my number? Isn’t that a privacy concern? Huge thanks to Xroaders paaji for stepping in and helping us reach home. 🙏 Otherwise, we would’ve been stuck there for hours. Never thought you could be left stranded just because charger software isn’t working. This isn’t a small glitch it directly impacts safety. Reality check: You still can’t comfortably drive from Jaipur to Chandigarh in one go. Even something like a G-Wagon EV would need charging en route. Spending ₹3.5 crore on a car and still worrying about basic charging infrastructure is frustrating!
