My issue with the Indian Express report is not that it highlighted disagreements within the Election Commission. The issue is that it appears to focus heavily on selected objections and internal notes while giving far less attention to what happened afterwards. In any multi-member institution, disagreements, questions and written observations are part of the decision-making process. If discussions are reported but the final consensus, approvals and outcomes receive much less attention, readers can walk away with a very different impression from the complete picture.
