I loved my Eight Sleep, but the pricing was insane, the subscription was predatory, and I had TWO units leak water all over (Pod 3/4). I ditched it, but always kinda missed it. So I bought this: an archaic/ugly alternative but uses air, is 1/4 the price, & has NO subscription.

Open source software is so cool. This is my Rivian R1S being autonomously driven by the Comma 3X—a dashboard mounted device that hijacks the signal to my car’s autonomy computer and inserts its own (much more capable) inputs. The software is free. And getting better daily.

I love Rivian. Wassym Bensaid’s software team keeps adding amazing features but my dudes… in no way, shape, or form is this level of lag acceptable in any car in 2025—much less one that costs as much as Rivians do. (both gen 1 and gen 2 share same infotainment compute fwiw)
