Open source software is so cool. This is my Rivian R1S being autonomously driven by the Comma 3X—a dashboard mounted device that hijacks the signal to my car’s autonomy computer and inserts its own (much more capable) inputs. The software is free. And getting better daily.

Looks like it can use a little tuning... we'll get this polished up before release!

I’m not that smart but I follow directions very well so if you need help with testing anything, give me a holler! :)

Excited about the latest tech for your drone product? Our NDAA-compliant, US-made flight controllers are designed to accelerate your path to market and provide a solid platform for developing your autonomous software. Check them out! #Drones #UAV #UAS #Robotics #MadeInUSA

I gotta get this for mine!

That wheel shimmy is driving me insane. Very cool to see this combo though!

It’s basically imperceptible in road feel. Rivian’s own software does much the same. A sporty coupe this car is not haha

Would love to give this a shot.

Cue an Omar rant in your comments in 3, 2, 1 …

Does using something like this void insurance coverage if you hit someone?

It’s no different from any other ADAS software including even FSD. If you hit someone with this enabled, you’re liable. But no, it doesn’t nullify insurance coverage.

I'm always impressed by what open source projects like this can accomplish compared to large companies with way larger budgets.
