The #SEGA Saturn was the target platform for the original Tomb Raider. The game primarily used VDP1 to render the graphics of the game, so it was only using 1/2 of the Saturn's capabilities. I wonder how much better it would have ran/looked with VDP2's help!

"The #SEGA Saturn cant do transparencies" Yes it can! Kinda! Saturn has 2 chips - VDP1 (sprites, polygons) and VDP2 (backgrounds, transparencies). Devs had to use VDP2 in clever ways for that effect. Thats why some games use both mesh and transparencies at the same time!
