What’s happening in the video? On the morning of December 15, 2025, Japanese astrophotographer Daichi Fujii captured something incredible: three bright flashes on the Moon. 🌕✨ The impacts happened at 4:35:55, 4:58:20, and 5:33:08 (Dec 15, 2025) — and observers in other countries reported seeing the flashes too. What caused them? Meteoroids. Three space rocks, each about 1 meter across, likely slammed into the lunar surface 20–30 minutes apart. They were probably part of the Geminid meteor shower. Around that time, Earth was moving through a stream of dust released by the asteroid (3200) Phaethon. Those particles hit Earth’s atmosphere at over 30 km/s, giving us up to ~120 shooting stars per hour. 🌠 But the Moon has no atmosphere — so meteoroids don’t burn up. They hit the ground directly… and we can sometimes see the impact as a flash. 💥 #Moon #astronomy #space #lunarimpact #StarWalk

Jupiter at Opposition — January 10, 2026 🪐✨ On January 10, 2026, Jupiter reaches opposition at 08:34 GMT — meaning it’s opposite the Sun in our sky and at its best and brightest for the year. It will shine at mag -2.7 in the constellation Gemini. How to watch: • Jupiter will rise at sunset in the east • Stay visible all night • Reach its highest point around midnight (local time) You can enjoy it with the naked eye — but binoculars or a small telescope make it even better: 🔭 Spot Jupiter’s four biggest moons: Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto 🌫️ With a telescope, you’ll also see Jupiter’s striped cloud bands At opposition, Jupiter is also closest to Earth in 2026: about 4.23 AU away, with an apparent size of 45.6 arcseconds — great conditions for detailed observing. #Jupiter #opposition #astronomy #stargazing #StarWalk

🌠 Comet C/2024 S1 (ATLAS) is making an epic appearance in October’s night sky! 🔭 From early to late October, this beauty brightens up, getting close to Earth and nearing the Sun. By the end of the month, it could reach a stunning magnitude of -7 or even -10, potentially becoming visible to the naked eye—even during the daytime! Keep an eye out as it races through the constellations and makes its closest approach to the Sun on October 28! 🌞 Will it survive the heat? Stay tuned and watch the skies! 🌌👀 #cometatlas #comet2024 #newcomet #c2024s1 #starwalk #skytonight
