Over 3kg gold ornaments recovered by Bidhannagar police from the residence of a good friend of arrested #TMC leader Sabyasachi Dutta. That good friend too is from TMC, happens to be a Zila Parishad member in Nadia. Reminds us of now suspended TMC leader Partha Chatterjee. Over 50 crore cash was recovered from his good friend’s residence that eventually led to his arrest in connection with SSC scam in 2022. Sabyasachi Dutta was the former mayor of Bidhannagar corporation. He switched sides and joined #BJP ahead of 2021 elections. Later returned to TMC in 2021. Arrested by police on charges of extortion on June 8, a month after BJP came to power in #Bengal in 2026

That’s Sr Adv Naidu representing #ElectionCommissionOfIndia & ECI is proposing to CJI to publish #Bengal #SIR supplementary lists on a daily basis Imagine, the first supplementary list came out at midnight and even after 19 hours we can’t access it - people don’t know who all are deleted and how many made it to the final voter list But before SC - ECI vowing to publish sup list daily!!! Had they published data on a regular basis - as & when matters were adjudicated - had they published data per 1 lakh people basis - they wouldn’t have to release data of 29 lakh people in one go, as they have done - which is of course a heavier file. But CJI laments it’s only in Bengal that SIR is creating so much noise

The #Chorbagan #KolkataStampede had killed my #DurgaPuja celebratioans - this has been one of the most difficult feelings I have encountered. Deceased were all dressed up in festive spirits. But this video hurts more. Have never seen Maa Durga being treated like this. Ropes tied around her waist! What a hurtful sight. No rituals before bidding her goodbye, police all around! If they lacked wherewithal then could have simply called fire brigade to melt her down - like it happens at many other places. Who ties rope around the Mother? The incident happened on Saptami which means worshipping this idol had already begun. As a sanatani Hindu I feel ashamed and let down.
