This is 100% why I love The Last Jedi. At the time it came out I was 41 years old. Had been going through some of the hardest years of my life. And Rian Johnson's version of Luke Skywalker spoke to what I was experiencing. The Hero's Journey isn't just a coming of age mythological framework.
