The City of London Corporation has released new images of how London's skyline could appear in 2032 if all buildings that have either been granted planning permission, or are already under construction, are fully completed. The images show how several notable new skyscrapers would appear on the skyline, including the 309.6-metre 1 Undershaft (set to become the UK's new joint-tallest building), 85 Gracechurch Street and 60 Gracechurch Street. In a statement, the City Corporation said that it had seen the busiest start to a year for seven years, in terms of planning application submissions and decisions, with an 84% increase in planning applications decided by the City of London Corporation in January 2026, as compared to the same month last year. 🎥 City of London

Despite widespread coverage in the news and across social media, The B1M understands that Saudi Arabia’s “Sky Stadium” (left) is in fact an AI-generated fake proposal. The actual “NEOM Stadium” (right) has been officially announced and is proposed to be constructed on top of phase one of The LINE. If successfully completed the 46,000-seat venue is due to host matches at the 2034 FIFA World Cup. The LINE is a 200-metre wide, 500-metre tall mirrored linear city currently under construction in NEOM, a new region that’s emerging in the north west of Saudi Arabia. The LINE will become the region’s capital city. Phase one of The LINE is set to extend across 2.4-kilometres, though the ultimate vision is for it to run 170-kilometres across the desert.

This 37-storey tower in Manhattan has been evacuated after at least two structural columns buckled on its 21st floor. Formerly the headquarters of pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, the building at 235 East 42nd Street had been undergoing renovation work to convert it from office space to more than 1,600 high-end apartments — including the addition of four new floors and the extension of several other levels. Fire crews were called to reports of falling masonry at the site on Tuesday morning local time. A 'frozen-zone' was established from 40th to 45th Streets and from First to Third Avenues, which saw the area closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic and buildings evacuated. New York City Buildings Commissioner Ahmed Tigani reassured New Yorkers on Tuesday night that the building was stable. The building renovation project, designed by Gensler for Metro Loft and David Werner Real Estate, had been due to complete in 2027. It's understood that the general contractor is 235 GC LLC with GACE as structural engineers.

Miami’s 227-metre new Bentley Residences skyscraper has kicked-off with a mammoth concrete pour. Construction team’s poured continuously for 36 hours using 10 pumps. In total the process involved a staggering 2,100 truckloads and more than 15,000 cubic metres of concrete. Developed by Dezer Development and Bentley, the skyscraper is set to become the tallest oceanfront building in the US when it completes in 2027 🏗️

Network Rail Property has released a new video showing its revised plans for an enlarged concourse and ticket hall, alongside new landmark entrances. The original planning application from May 2023 featured a design by architects Herzog and de Meuron, but was withdrawn after it received more than 2,000 objections. Under the updated proposals, developed with ACME Architects, the new office block planned for construction above the station has been reduced in size and realigned to avoid interfering with the site of the Great Eastern Hotel, while other modifications ensure the historic roof above the platforms, dating from 1875, will not be altered during the works. 📽️ Network Rail Property
