Kwatha is burning 🔥 now - this is the only Meitei Village in the #Kuki dominated place Tengnoupal Tensil in the Indo-Myanmar Border. It started at 10.30 pm tonight and there are concerns whether this village of just 370 people is a Victim of Arson by Terrorist. 💥This Meitei Village is one of the least developed area in the state inhabited by Meiteis with one of the most economically disadvantaged section 💥 But they are non-Kukis , not Scheduled tribes and hence the Media will ignore them ‼️( Let’s remind that on 22nd July 2023, there was an attempt to attack Kwatha village and burn down house but Stopped by the #AssamRifles On that day in July , Around 2000 Kukis, including both men and women gathered at Moreh Kut Ground at around 10 am and held a rally under the aegis of the Kuki Women Union and Human Rights (KWUHR), Moreh. The rally which started from Kut Ground went up to the gate of Forest Office, Moreh. As soon as the rally ended at around 3 pm, the protesters transformed into a mob and they proceeded towards Kwatha village with alleged intention to attack and burn down the village. They were stopped by troops of 5 Assam Rifles near the gate of Kwatha village. Considering the vulnerability of Kwatha Khunou, all the residents of the village have been evacuated to Kwatha Khunjao. ) ‼️ It would be shame on the might of India 🇮🇳, if this Meitei Village becomes one of the last Meitei settlement to be cleansed from kuki-Dominated area in Manipur. These #indigenous communities stand on the brink of a dire conflict, initiated by cross-border narco-terrorist groups. This conflict has resulted in a tragic toll of over 200 lives lost and the destruction of approximately 5,000 homes, leaving 60,000 people homeless. Given these distressing circumstances, the peace-loving people of Manipur earnestly appeal to the Indigenous Mechanism and other relevant bodies within this council to facilitate communication with the government of #India: 1. To prioritize the pressing issue of #IllegalImmigrations and the widespread illicit cultivation of #OpiumPoppies covering an area exceeding 10s of thousand acres in the hills of Indo-Myanmar Borderland particularly in Manipur. 2. To urge the competent agencies and parties to take urgent initiatives by relevant mandates to address the gross violations of the human rights in the ongoing violence in Manipur. 3. To recognize and address the menace of narco-terrorism and emerging new #Goldentriangle and its far-reaching consequences on the longstanding ethnic harmony, economic stability, and ecological well-being of the Indigenous People in Manipur and WSEA region. 4. Given the suspected involvement of immigrant armed militant groups in narco- terrorist activities in the region including the ongoing violence in Manipur, we call for a thorough review of the policy of Suspension of Operations with such groups by govt. of India. ‼️The desecration of the indigenous form of worship ( #LamtaThangja / #SaroiKhangba ) by the #KukiChristians earlier today in #Manipur by abusing the elderly woman worshipper and kicking the offered ‘fruits and Vegetables’ to the #IndigenousGods ‼️ Today , the first ‘Saturday’ of the last month of the year which is known as Lamtai’s Thangja or Lamtai’s Saturday, is a very important day for the indigenous Meitei people of Manipur . On this day the Meiteis performed the ritual of #SaroiKhangba (propitiation of the evil spirits) on this day . It is the retirement day for all those Gods who have been working for the whole year, as well as the day for the evil spirits to chase them away far beyond the border of township. The ritual on this Saturday is done by the elderly women of the locality to appease the evil spirits on the Saturday of Lamta (month) Edible items such as rice, vegetables and others are collected from each family and offered to the tutelary deities - Koubru, Marjing, Wangpurel and Thangjing in order to propitiate the evil spirits who are hungry and demand food from human beings. But the #ChristianKukis who have no clue or has any respect for the indigenous way of life, are seen in this video ‘ abusing the ritual and kicking the offerings’. If this was an American or a European or an Indian Christian abusing and kicking the rituals performed by any indigenous people across the world , it would be the biggest headlines . But this is #Kuki_Zo who are projected by the leftist media as ‘Never-Wrong minority Christian’s’ and will not make any noise by the media and the righteous world .
