1/5 How #ITLF engineered the #ManipurViolence by burning the... Centenary gate at Leishang . This is the first available photo taken at 1421 hours or 2.21 pm on 3rd May, where it is seen that a crowd has gathered at the #CentenaryGate with ‘smoke’ at the foot of the concrete structure. A video uploaded showed that a docile looking small fire with 2/3 rubber tyres is seen. ‼️This is the ‘Fire’ which the #Kukis have justified and given the reason that led to an orgy of vandalism, Assault and arson of hundreds of homes and murder in the next 3 hours of that afternoon ‼️ ‼️But at around 12.30 pm, for whatever reasons, there was a large #Kuki crowd gathered, which disappeared for a while and appear when the ‘Fire’ at the concrete structure of the gate started. ‼️ ‼️Who gave directive for the gathered crowd /guards to disappear and then reappear ? ‼️ ‼️ There is no way, anyone could have burnt the Centenary gate without the crowd intervening especially for a Meitei. It is impossible for a Meitei to even touch the gate, leave alone set it on fire by placing 2/3 tyres ‼️ But this is what happened soon afterwards. The following places were vandalised , burnt and civilians killed by #ITLF, #KukiMilitants and their supporter in the next 3 hours of this tragic day : 2.20 pm to 5.30 pm Torbung Phougakchou Moreh Bijang Khunou Meitei leikai Phailian Leimaram Compound Veng khanami Bazaar Khuga Tampak Khumujamba Yaifakon Lingsiphai Kangpokpi Forest beat office at Mualnam and Singhatshow more

Engine 3 arrived six minutes later and reported smoke coming from the back door on and eaves of an abandoned AM/PM. A full alarm was called, and crews started to search for the source of the fire. As seen in this video, there was a significant fire event. The roof collapsed, and operations shifted to a defensive mode. Arambai Tenggol's involvement on May 3rd, 2023, has been... a subject of controversy, with the Meitei side vehemently denying any connection to the #ManipurViolence. However, a viral video shows Korounganba Khuman, the C-in-C of Arambai Tenggol, present in Kangvai shortly after the #AngloKukiWar Centenary Gate at Leisang was set on fire. By considering the establishment of Arambai Tenggol units in the Lamka and Torbung areas prior to May 3rd, 2023, it becomes evident that the violence was premeditated by the Meiteis, utilizing radicalized youth to attack the Kuki-Zo tribals. #Arambai_Tenggol #MANIPUR_VIOLENCE #EthnicCleansing #TribalLivesMatter #Elections2024 #Manipur #Indiashow more

I recently FOIA’d a shooting in Peoria that wasn’t... very exciting at all but I ended up watching all 6 hours of bodycam footage anyways. In this video: -the crowd won’t let anyone near the guy who’s shot in the chest. -the crowd fights the cops, who have med kits and are trying to rescue their friend. -because of the violent crowd, fire and EMS are 6 minutes late (time is kind of important with a sucking chest wound). -a cop loses a very important staccato magazine. -after fire and ems arrive there are still several felony arrests for fighting cops. I also forgot how fun it is to watch the police reaction in the aftermath of dealing with large crowds of stupid people.show more

‼️ MUST ADD FOR PRACTICE ‼️ Olympic style 3x3... is quickly becoming one of the best 'SSGs' for overall development. It's really fast paced, and every possession is played with a ton of purpose. Players play with maximum spacing, build endurance WITH THE BALL and, if done properly, SHOT QUALITY is the games' biggest emphasis. In the Olympics 👇🏼 The analytics behind the actions they deploy are much different than standard 5 on 5, as well. Shooting 25% from 3 is the equivalent of 50% from 2 so there is a HEAVY emphasis on making and defending the 3. This means there is a ton of switching and coverage solutions/counters to switching defenses with NO TAG AT THE HOOP. The game translates BEAUTIFULLY to 5 on 5. 3x3 rules are a simple constraint to make and defend the 3 ball at a much higher level using '3 man' actions. IMO, a must add to our 5 on 5 teams. The Cottonwood Fire is a Great Basin monster. The... fire is now estimated at 2,000+ acres, and it looks like it’s all of that and possibly more. At this time, all residents and visitors from Hi-Lo Cabins up to Kent Lake have been evacuated. Crews will be taking water from the Pressurized Irrigation pond. Due to this, Beaver City is asking that there is No Watering from the Pressurized Irrigation System until further notice. A massive resource response is ongoing, with another 25,000 acre fire next door also active, The Iron Fire. “She gone.” Thanks to the subscriber who sent in this incredible view of the fire.show more

There's been an unfortunate incident in LA with a... Uhaul plowing into a crowd of anti-Khameini protestors This man should never have been able to get near the crowd with a uhaul but some info about the situation seem to be - signage on the truck is anti both the shah and the current ayatollah. is this his actual position or is this camouflage to have gotten into the protest to perpetrate an attack? "no Shah, No regime, No Mullah" Mullah is a religious leader so possibly referring to the current leader and not a king like Pahlavi Timeline appears to be - anti-Khameini protestors try to rip signs off his vehicle and are bashing on the windows and eventually his passenger side window is broken - guy in uhaul then stutterstops forward into the crowd, eventually accelerating further, then stuttering again, then full stopping down the road - there is a man surfing on top of the uhaul in the 3rd video, below I have posted another video showing the man on top of the uhaul trying to take the posters off the side, so he is likely part of the anti-Khameini protestors - uhaul driver is taken into custody by police is this a case of police not having the street sufficiently blocked off and so a guy was able to get a uhaul in here? He should not have been able to drive a uhaul this close to a massive protest crowd There are a lot of people saying this is a terrorist attack, it is possible it could be one but I don't think there's enough information to accurately assert that at this time The chronology of events also shows it is possible that the driver was in fear of his life since protestors were banging on the uhaul, windows, and removing signs+ eventually breaking his window Whatever turns out to be the actual case, it is an unfortunate event and as of right now a seeming silver lining is that no deaths have been reportedshow more

The one thing we absolutely know with certainty about... the Richat Structure is that there was an incredible amount of human activity here from the dawn of toolmaking and tool use itself. The Acheulean Hand Axe is the second tool that humans ever made and this technology spread throughout Africa, Europe and Asia while no definitive evidence exists that this technology ever made it to the Americas. I think this is evidence that this technology was shared and disseminated intentionally, that neighboring humans didn’t come up with this independently on their own but this was a legacy, an institution, a skill and an industry that was shared and taught. It is perhaps the earliest evidence we have of widespread cultural diffusion throughout Africa, Europe and Asia. And yes, it’s right there at the Richat Structure which leads me to question the role that the Richat played to humans half a million years ago. It seems like that’s where we have to start with the Richat.show more

Madain Saleh, also known as Al-Hijr, is a pre-Islamic... archaeological site located in the northwest of Saudi Arabia. It is one of the most important archaeological sites in the Middle East and was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2008. Madain Saleh is a place of great historical and cultural significance, and it is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the history and culture of the Arabian Peninsula. Madain Saleh was the second city of the Nabataean kingdom, which was established in 2nd Century BC. The Nabataeans were an Arab tribe who were known for their expertise in carving tombs and buildings out of rock. They were also skilled in agriculture, trade, and commerce. The Nabataean kingdom was centered in Petra, which is located in modern-day Jordan. Madain Saleh served as a strategic outpost for Nabataeans, and it was an important stop on the trade routes that connected the Arabian Peninsula with the Mediterranean world. Archaeological site of Madain Saleh covers an area of 13 square kilometers. It is located in a remote desert region, and it is surrounded by rocky mountains and valleys. The site contains around 130 tombs, which were carved out of the sandstone cliffs. The tombs are adorned with intricate carvings and inscriptions, which provide insights into the culture and religion of the Nabataeans. The most famous tomb at Madain Saleh is the Qasr Al-Farid, which means "the lonely castle." This tomb is located on a hilltop and is surrounded by a large courtyard. It is the largest tomb at the site, and it is considered to be one of the finest examples of Nabataean architecture. The tomb was never completed, and it is believed that it was abandoned after the death of the Nabataean king who commissioned it. Another important tomb at Madain Saleh is the Tomb of Lihyan son of Kuza. This tomb is located in the southern part of the site and is carved into a rock cliff. It features a large entrance hall, a central chamber, and a series of smaller rooms. The tomb is decorated with intricate carvings and inscriptions, which provide insights into the religious beliefs of Nabataeans. Madain Saleh is not just a site of tombs; it also contains a number of other important structures. These include the Al-Khuraymat and Al-Sabika temples, which were used for religious ceremonies and rituals. The site also contains a number of houses, wells, and cisterns, which provide insights into the daily lives of the Nabataeans. Madain Saleh was abandoned in the 3rd Century AD, after decline of the Nabataean kingdom. The site was rediscovered in the 19th Century by the Swiss traveler Johann Ludwig Burckhardt. Since then, it has been studied by archaeologists from all over the world. The site is now managed by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, which has carried out extensive restoration and preservation work. Madain Saleh is not just a site of historical and cultural significance; it is also a place of great natural beauty. The site is surrounded by rugged mountains and valleys, and it is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. Visitors to the site can enjoy hiking and camping, as well as exploring the ancient ruins. Madain Saleh is a site of great historical and cultural significance, and it is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the history and culture of the Arabian Peninsula. Ancient ruins at Madain Saleh provide a glimpse into the engineering and architectural skills of the Nabataeans, as well as their religious beliefs and cultural practices. However, as the site becomes an increasingly popular tourist destination, there are concerns about its preservation and the impact of tourism on the local environment. It is important that the Saudi government and local communities work together to ensure that the site is protected and that tourism is managed in a sustainable way. 🎥© Paris Verra #archaeohistoriesshow more

🚨SCORING RULES ALERT🚨 This is from today's Detroit Tigers... at New York Mets game. Here, with Workman on second, Zach McKinstry hits a fly to left that lands, and Workman is thrown out 7-5 at third base. This was ruled a single, and the question has been asked as to why. First, this is the correct scoring, as this is a single. If this were a ground ball to short, and the runner is out 6-5 at third on a ball that would have otherwise been a hit, this would have been a fielder's choice, and the difference is in the wording on rule 9.05(b)(3), which says that you do not score a hit when a: (3) pitcher, the catcher or any infielder handles a batted ball and puts out a preceding runner who is attempting to advance one base or to return to his original base, or would have put out such runner with ordinary effort except for a fielding error. The Official Scorer shall charge the batter with a time at bat but no hit; The key is in the McKinstry play, the ball is handled by an outfielder, and not the pitcher, catcher, or any infielder. Another one of those fun weird scoring rules that is great to have in your back pocket for when it comes up.show more

This evening, Israeli residents set fire twice to the... perimeter of the UNRWA Headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem. This took place while UNRWA and other UN Agencies’ staff were on the compound. While there were no casualties among our staff, the fire caused extensive damage to the outdoor areas. The UNRWA headquarters has on its grounds a petrol and diesel station for the Agency’s fleet of cars. Our director with the help of other staff had to put out the fire themselves as it took the Israeli fire extinguishers and police a while before they turned up. A crowd accompanied by armed men were witnessed outside the compound chanting “Burn down the United Nations” (see video below 👇 from Israeli media). This is an outrageous development. Once again, the lives of UN staff were at a serious risk. In light of this second appalling incident in less than a week, I have taken the decision to close down our coumpound until proper security is restored. Over the past two months, Israeli extremists have been staging protests outside the UNRWA compound in Jerusalem, called by an elected member of the Jerusalem municipality. This week, the protest became violent when demonstrators threw stones at UN staff and at the buildings of the compound. Over the past months, UN staff have regularly been subjected to harassment and intimidation. Our compound has been seriously vandalized and damaged. On several occasions, Israeli extremists threatened our staff with guns. It is the responsibility of the State of Israel as an occupying power to ensure that United Nations personnel and facilities are protected at all times. UN staff, premises and operations should be protected at all times in line with international law. I call on all those who have influence to put an end to these attacks and hold all those responsible accountable. The perpetrators of these attacks must be investigated and those responsible must be held accountable. Anything less will set a new dangerous standard.show more
