Had a young catcher ask me about when to back pick… I say whenever you think you can get them. Look for back picks often, be confident, be aggressive, and let it fly! Confidence comes from reps so be sure to work on them often so when the opportunity arises, you’re ready!

Every catcher does NOT throw the same. There are universal things elite throwers do but there are also some things that are unique to each catcher… like Bailey & his arm slot. And before any of you tell me he reached out too far, watch his release time. A .56 is elite!
