Several fights have broken out between juveniles across from the Navy Yard-Ballpark metro station in Navy Yard/Washington DC 🚨 Police officers deployed pepper ball rounds in order to control the large crowd, which the kids mistook for gunfire— causing them to run off. A large group of the kids remain in the area. No word on any arrests at this hour, however several police agencies have responded to assist DC Police. 🎃

A man’s body has been found around several spent shell casings at a park near an elementary school in Langley Park, Maryland 🚨 Maryland National-Capital Park Police and Prince George’s County Police were called out at ~11am to the Langley Hampshire Neighborhood Park on Quebec Street after a person’s body was found in the park. Numerous spent casings were found around the Hispanic male, who was pronounced dead on the scene. The Langley Park-McCormick Elementary School sits just a few hundred yards from where he was found. Police had received a call for gunshots heard behind the same elementary school at around 9pm last night, however officers were unable to locate any signs of a shooting. UMD FOOTBALL STAFF CALLS POLICE ON STUDENT JOURNALISTS: Here’s University of Maryland Police’s dispatch audio of officers being called out to the Jones-Hill House for ‘people, possibly kids lingering outside the doors’ after coach Mike Locksley’s departure as UMD’s football coach today. According to the dispatch audio, the complaint had been received after it had been ‘called in from the football staff.’ The ‘people lingering’ outside turned out to be Testudo Times journalists, who had been trying to get players to comment. The two students were asked for their IDs by UMPD and ‘sent on their way.’ No further police action was taken. #UMD

WATCH: Police dashcam footage shows a Montgomery County Police sergeant’s cruiser being destroyed during a street takeover on East-West Highway at Connecticut Ave in Chevy Chase, Maryland 🚨 In total, two cruisers were damaged during the attack, with one having the entire rear windshield busted out. Amazingly, no officers were injured. No arrests have been made for the incident as of now.
