Just witnessed a kid on a Lime scooter get struck by a hit-and-run driver (illegally turning across two lanes) on Eleventh Street SE at I-295. A DC police officer was in front of the crash when it happened, but the kid got up and dusted it off. Stay aware of bad drivers in the DMV!

GUILLOTINE FOUND ON PICK-UP TRUCK PARKED OUTSIDE OF SCOTUS BUILDING: US Capitol Police are investigating after what appears to be a guillotine was found in the bed of a pick-up truck parked outside of the Supreme Court building in Washington DC 🚨 The suspicious pick-up truck investigation is underway on East Capitol Street at First Street NE, just steps away from the Supreme Court of the United States building. Authorities have yet to officially release any information. MPD’s K-9 units were also initially requested for a sweep of the truck. A nearby resident tells me they saw the same pick-up truck parked outside of their apartment earlier in the day and found it odd. US Capitol Police remain on scene and continue to investigate…

On the topic of air traffic control news… a father and daughter pilot duo recently reunited on the runway at Dulles International Airport. A must listen: Daughter Pilot on UCA4977: “Pops?” Father Pilot aboard UAL108: “Hello. (in dad voice) Where you at?” Daughter: “About to depart 1R, safe travels…” Other Pilot: “So your daughter’s a pilot, aren’t you proud, Papa!” Dad: “Sort of…” Other Pilot: “Is she still living in your house?” Dad: “Oh no, but she is on my cell phone plan…” Other Pilot: “I was on my mama’s cell phone plan ‘til I got married….” Daughter: “I am single.” 🤣🤣🤣 (A special shoutout to ATC for the ATC audio. It’s Friday, and yet another fight has broken out between kids at the Gallery Place-Chinatown metro station in downtown Washington DC. (five straights day in a row now!) At least five people (who all appear to be juveniles) have been put into handcuffs, with some being loaded into prisoner transport vans. ![Footage has been released of an officer-involved shooting in Fairfax County, Virginia, where a suspect hiding in heavy brush suddenly grabbed a police officer’s gun 🚨 Fairfax County, Virginia — On July 28, 2026, at approximately 9:57 a.m., Fairfax County Police Officers responded to a residence in the 7000 block of Sutter Lane in Annandale for a domestic incident involving a man armed with a knife. When officers arrived, they learned 26-year-old Nehemia Fuentes Banegas, [with an address in] Annandale, was armed with two knives and had left the residence on foot following a verbal argument. Officers established a perimeter after determining Fuentes Banegas had left the residence on foot and requested assistance from the Helicopter and K9 Units. During the search, officers were directed to a wooded area off Americana Drive. As officers searched the area, Fuentes Banegas suddenly emerged from heavy brush, violently grabbed an officer’s firearm, and attempted to disarm him. The officer discharged his firearm while a second officer simultaneously deployed his department-issued taser. Officers immediately rendered medical aid until personnel from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department arrived. Fuentes Banegas was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. During the investigation, the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) used available camera footage to retrace Fuentes Banegas’ movements. The footage helped detectives locate the two knives he had been armed with prior to leaving the residence. After being medically cleared, Fuentes Banegas was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Attempted Disarming of a Law Enforcement Officer. Newly obtained footage shows the moment an armed murder suspect was shot and killed by DC Police on a Metro bus. The shooting occurred on the 4000 block of Wisconsin Ave NW at around 7:30am yesterday. A handgun with an extended magazine was recovered from the gunman. #DCCrime

IT HAPPENS AGAIN! While driving through the area, I noticed a fight had broken out between kids in front of a Metro bus at the Gallery Place-Chinatown metro in Washington DC— this time right in the middle of H Street. (this is the fourth day in a row now) DC Police and Federal Protective Services arrived and tried to break up the fight. Eventually, police were able to break up the fight, but the group of kids remain in the area…

For the third day in a row since school has started in Washington DC, several fights have broken out (some directly in front of police and National Guard in the area) near the Gallery Place-Chinatown metro station. DC Police, Metro Transit Police, federal agents from various agencies, and the National Guard have been keeping a heavy presence in the area once school gets out, but it does not seem to be preventing the group of kids from gathering and starting fights. Currently, officers are working on dispersing the crowds, as well as cleaning up Lime scooters and e-bikes that have been left behind in the middle of the road and sidewalk. No word on any arrests as of now…

There hasn’t been a single report on this issue from other local media outlets in Washington DC. It’s been five straight days of fights breaking out since DC’s first day of school— sometimes in the middle of the street and with pepper spray having to be deployed by police. WATCH: Police dashcam footage shows a Montgomery County Police sergeant’s cruiser being destroyed during a street takeover on East-West Highway at Connecticut Ave in Chevy Chase, Maryland 🚨 In total, two cruisers were damaged during the attack, with one having the entire rear windshield busted out. Amazingly, no officers were injured. No arrests have been made for the incident as of now. Maryland State Police assisted in clearing out the takeover, at which point it is believed the group continued into Fairfax County, Virginia to do another street takeover on Georgetown Pike at Dolley Madison Boulevard. WATCH: a 19 year-old male has been arrested and charged with shooting two people at a Kensington, Maryland Safeway garage during an illegal car rally earlier this month 🔫 On April 4th at around 2:30am, Montgomery County Police responded to the Safeway parking garage on Armory Ave in Kensington for a shooting. Moments later, two victims arrived at nearby hospitals having been shot. It was later determined they had come from the location of the illegal car rally. Hermes Matewere is charged with two counts of first-and-second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and multiple firearms violations. (to including possession of a firearm by a minor) He is being held without bond.

A young child and her mother were seriously injured after being struck by a driver while crossing the roadway at Rockville Pike & Twinbrook Parkway in Rockville, Maryland 🚨 The mother, a woman in her 40s, suffered a possible femur fracture but otherwise has injuries that sound non-life-threatening. The roughly 4 year-old boy is also being taken to a trauma center with injuries considered non life-threatening, but suffered severe road rash across the face and upper body. The driver of the striking vehicle, a sedan with Florida tags, remained on the scene after veering off the roadway. ⛔️ All of Rollins Ave is shutdown at Rockville Pike as Rockville Police remain on scene. ⛔️
