Unbelievaable and unacceptable. British Columbians are being told to tighten their belts. Meanwhile, the NDP is handing out taxpayer-funded gift cards to bureaucrats making over $100,000 a year. Let that sink in. Families facing higher taxes, kids losing individualized autism funding, seniors struggling with rising costs, and small businesses being squeezed with damaging PST expansions. And the NDP’s priority? US-issued Amazon, Walmart and Starbucks gift cards for government staff. Eby promised a Buy BC policy to fight tariffs. But this is a government that says one thing and does another. When asked about these 'recognition' awards, Eby continued to defend them. With a $13-billion deficit, this isn’t a mistake. It’s a mindset, it's out of touch, it's reckless, and it's completely disconnected from the people paying the bills. Governing is about choices, and this government keeps choosing itself.

Government doesn’t create jobs, or generate wealth for British Columbians. The private sector does. David Eby inherited a surplus and has driven B.C. into near record debt. Eby’s government believes they create wealth and prosperity in their offices in Victoria. The B.C. Conservatives know where wealth is created in this province, and that is in communities like Prince George, Smithers, and Kitimat.

This is the BC NDP’s legacy for 2025, a year defined by failure. Expanded government power. Record deficits. A health-care system in crisis. Public safety deteriorating. Forestry jobs destroyed. And a land title dispute escalated to the point that private property rights are now at risk. After eight years, enough is enough. It’s time to restore accountability, stability, and confidence in this province. It’s time for change. British Columbia needs a Conservative government to fix what the NDP broke.
