Mountain turbulence is no joke. 😳✈️ This footage shows just how violent the air can get when an aircraft flies over a mountainous terrain. The sudden drops, shaking and violent movements look terrifying from inside the cabin. For passengers, it can feel like the aircraft is falling out of the sky but aircrafts are built to handle turbulence. The wings are designed to flex and absorb large aerodynamic loads rather than simply resist them. The airframe is tested under extreme load conditions, well beyond what passengers would normally experience. Still, that seatbelt sign is there for a reason. Always put it on

Watch Kalitta Air Boeing 777 Freighter coming frighteningly close to a tail strike during a go-around✈️ What stands out to me is how much pitch and energy the crew had to manage in just a few seconds. The aircraft touched down, bounced, and they immediately had to control pitch, thrust, airspeed and configuration. With a 777-300ER’s length, there’s very little room for error when the pitch attitude changes close to the runway. The key decision was the go-around. Once the landing became unstable, getting airborne and establishing a safe climb was far better than trying to force the aircraft back onto the runway. 🎥Plane_spotter350

🚨 JUST IN: A Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787-9 had a pretty unusual takeoff from Munich today. Flight VN34 was departing for Hanoi when the aircraft rotated very late, lifting off near the end of Runway 26L. Ground footage shows the main landing gear coming off the runway with a cloud of dust behind it. There are reports that the aircraft may have struck equipment beyond the runway, potentially damaging runway lights and possibly the aircraft itself, though the reports aren't verified yet. After takeoff, the crew stopped the climb at around 9,000 ft and entered a holding pattern near Munich, likely to assess the situation and burn fuel. Definitely not a normal takeoff, and the footage shows just how close to the end of the runway the 787 lifted off.

This footage gets more terrifying with every second. The helicopter was in serious trouble after an engine oil leak, trailing a massive cloud of smoke as the pilot raced toward the ground. You can almost feel the urgency. He was fighting against time to get the aircraft safely on the ground. There was no room for hesitation. No second attempt. He eventually spotted an empty parking and managed to land safely.

This Ryanair Boeing 737-800 was just seconds from touchdown when it flew straight through a flock of seagulls. Several birds struck the aircraft, with some being ingested by its CFM56-7B engines. Despite multiple bird strikes, both engines continued operating normally, allowing the aircraft to land safely. It's estimated that at least 20 seagulls were killed in the incident.

It stands as tall as a three-story building, its massive rotor diameter is comparable to the wingspan of an Airbus A320. Its lifting capability allows it to transport troops, armored vehicles, oversized cargo, and heavy equipment that most helicopters simply can't carry. Beyond transport, the Mi-26 is also used for evacuations, firefighting, disaster relief, and other demanding missions where sheer lifting power makes all the difference.

The aircraft is kept under precise control throughout the final approach, with the crew making continuous corrections to maintain the desired flight path and runway alignment. The pilots are carefully managing pitch and power as they descend, with throttle adjustments controlling the aircraft’s energy and descent rate, while small control inputs keep it stable and aligned with the runway. This is why fighter pilots are among the best in the world. The aircraft touches down on its main landing gear, and the pilot holds the nose high for several moments while still traveling at jet landing speeds. Notice how the tail comes within inches of the runway yet, thanks to the pilot's exceptional precision and control, it never strikes the ground. Incredible display of skills ✈️
