Sessional Paper No. 10 of 1965 entrenched historical marginalisation by classifying large parts of Kenya as “low potential areas,” leaving many communities with little government investment for decades. UDA Director of Communication Nathaniel Mong’are says road development has followed the same pattern, with some regions getting far more tarmac than others while many were left behind. The ongoing 6,000KM tarmacking programme has changed the skewed development policy by ensuring roads are spread across the country. Under President William Samoei Ruto , another 28,000KM of roads will be built through the National Infrastructure Fund, connecting communities and opening up parts of the country that have waited for these roads for years.

Contrary to some actors who spread fake news, Karen Hospital, just like 10,700 other health facilities, has received Ksh. 178 billion as contracted facilities across counties. During a public telephone conversation with President William Ruto, Juliet Gikonyo, the CEO of Karen Hospital, confirmed that Social Health Authority (SHA) has processed that claims seamless, unlike the defunct NHIF. SHA CEO Mercy Mwangangi confirmed that Karen Hospital has submitted claims worth Ksh. 303M. SHA has paid Ksh. 202M, which is 66.5% of the total claims. SHA has rejected claims worth Ksh. 9.5M representing 3% with the balance returned.
