We request: - The opening of an independent investigation into the circumstances of the hospitalization; - The guarantee of impartial legal and medical access to the patient; - The protection of the individual's civil and political rights; - The mobilization of international organizations to monitor the case; - The consideration of the phenomenon of cybertorture as a real threat to the physical and mental integrity of citizens in several countries. Freedom of expression, the right to mental integrity and protection against inhumane treatment are fundamental pillars of any democratic society.
