XRP is the native bridge asset of the XRP Ledger. This is a live look of the last 72h on the XRPL DEX of trades going through XRP. It's a protocol native functionality doing this by default. The XRPL routes automatically DEX offers through $XRP if it improves the trade quality. 2 things are interesting here. 1) Because the XRPL DEX is native the protocol captures activity at scale much better than fragmented smart contract DEX's, through auto bridging for the long tail of assets. You simply operate always on the same DEX and that aggregates liquidity and trades. 2) The current usage is 0.16% of DEX trades in the last 72h. For someone like myself who sees huge potential for the protocol and especially optimized trade quality by going through XRP on the DEX at scale when this number is double digits this is an exciting outlook to work towards.

This is SO cool !! I just used up for voting amendment XLS-96 Confidential Transfer / privacy on the XRP Ledger dev net enabled by homomorphism and ZK proofs. What's going on here and how do nodes know payments are correct while not able to see the amounts ? 1) I issued a confidential MPT on the XRP Ledger dev net. I shielded my balance. Privacy for the amounts of my XRPL issued asset balance and transfers (the addresses stay public). No one can see the amounts, it's all shielded, except the issuer and the auditor who can always decrypt them (or you, like in the video on my esp32). 2) The XRP Ledger uses 2 boxes 📦 for this all under the hood, an Inbox-box and a Spending-box. I don't go into detail why thats needed but it's important we have it. 3) How do Validators and nodes know the transfers are correct if they can't see the amounts? Now the true magic is enabled by homomorphism. It allows to do operations arithmetic on encrypted data as if it were plaintext, without the need to decrypt it. Like adding and subtracting amounts to your balance. ZK proofs fill the gap that nodes need. We need a comparison of the balance that after you have done your payment you have >= 0 balance. If you would have negative balance it means you trying to spend more than you have something we need to prevent. For this a ZK proof is used to quickly allow people to check, ahh all good, no idea how much Vet owns but whatever he is spending here it's definitely within his balance and it's not below 0. Those 2 techniques soon on a public decentralized blockchain XRP Ledger. Should give you goose bumps what this means for possible use cases.

This is how XRP was used as a bridge asset in the last 24h. 477 auto-bridging events occurred. EUROP / RLUSD - 124 events (most active) RLUSD / BBRL ( Braza Bank Brazilian Real Stablecoin) - 67 events USDC / RLUSD - 46 events Interestingly, RLUSD appears in majority if auto-bridging event. Clearly the most actively traded currency against other currencies where XRP gets used as the bridge. > Total of ~15,000 XRP was used to provide liquidity for better exchange rates. > 92% of all trades are Token/XRP pairs > 8% of all trades are Token/Token pairs out of all Token/Token trades, 0.8% were auto-bridged. For the BBRL events, those amounts were small trades but still enough to trigger auto bridging. The XRPL DEX is so efficient that you can trade tiny amounts without friction. XRP loves tokenization - long tail of assets.

The XRP Ledger has done it right to not distribute XRP into circulation via the consensus. Setting it up for long term stability with short term distribution challenges. Opposite to Bitcoin. It uses PoW to also distribute the supply into circulation. This makes BTC very expensive with long term challenges but with the short term supply distribution advantage. Because distribution is only a short term challenge, long term stability is always the better choice. The next years for Bitcoin will be very interesting as they need to address challenges they got but prioritizing the short term advantages.

This is super exciting! Are institutions quietly setting up regulated trading venues on the XRP Ledger? Part of Ripple Payments rollout on the XRPL DEX? 👀 Let's break it down. I analyzed Schuman Financials EUROP stablecoin venue, Ripple ops accounts, RLUSD and more and the setup i found is very interesting. The setup is leveraging on chain compliance features Permissioned DEX + Domain + Credentials that we voted in a few months ago. Remember usage of XRP Ledger is the foundation for XRP usage especially as a liquidity bridge asset for the long tail of assets (video on that incoming too). The XRP Ledger loves tokenization as a multi asset ledger and is perfectly positioned to carve out a huge chunk of this market. With more use cases enabled in the future and settlement at the core. Let's dive into it (sorry for the mic, i'm traveling).

Batch transactions are coming to the $XRP Ledger. It's an atomic transaction to settle multiple operations on the network. Peer 2 Peer relations like OTC trading for institutions and trustless swaps of issued debt, money market funds and national currencies. All on XRP.

"The core focus is adoption and volume first" Once we bootstrap AI agent use cases, we can increase the TPS of the XRP Ledger. I have been hearing from a lot of people that AI agents need more TPS and the XRP Ledger can't handle it yet. Activity leads to TPS increases. Increasing TPS preemptively is counterintuitive.

The upcoming XRP Ledgers Lending protocol is a native feature. The security scrutiny makes it safer than other custom smart contract implementations. Allowing people to lend and borrow XRP or RLUSD, to institutions and other projects, is a major unlock for liquidity on chain.

"we bring the same principles of the equity world to digital assets" Native assets of public permissionless decentralized networks are commodities, not equities. They exclude Bitcoin while keeping ETH/Solana? Do they not know that PoS and PoW are very similar in the principles they are trying to measure? The index composition makes no sense and imo is the scary truth, that institutions in this space struggle hard to 1) understand it 2) how to value it. Protocol revenue here is literally the friction between users and forced stakeholders like miners and validators. The more revenue a protocol earns the more it took away from users to use a network. It's bizarre how this makes sense for an open protocol, it makes absolutely sense for a business and thus equities. The XRP Ledger says, hey its super cheap to make forward progress if just agree on it, no friction no revenue. We are so ahead in our understanding of this space it's not even remotely funny.

Privacy is around the corner for XRP Ledger! XLS-96 Confidential Transfers authored by Aanchal Malhotra J. Ayo Akinyele and a list of other engineers. A native infrastructure feature to allow "Institutions to go from off chain to on chain " "Allows private amount distribution of assets among institutions" Initially tried to do with XRP but a better hybrid path was taken with issued assets. Privacy where it's needed and not a base case. I think thats the better path as well. Luc Bocahut and Ayo dived together with me in the new XRPL Preview series into this upcoming feature for the XRPL. With a sneak peek of what more to come on the privacy front to round up the tool kit and to achieve "hiding the transaction graph" ❤️ Very excited for privacy and i can't believe it's coming in a few weeks for voting.
