For many nations, America has been a symbol of hope. For Kosovo, it became something even greater: the embodiment of freedom itself. America did not save Kosovo through speeches, resolutions, or endless debates. It saved lives through courage and action. When many others hesitated, calculated political costs, or chose to look away, America acted. It stood on the right side of history and reminded the world that power is at its noblest when it serves justice. The story of our freedom bears an American imprint. It lives in the lives that were saved, in the peace that was secured, in the institutions that were built, and in the free and sovereign Republic of Kosovo that stands proud today. That is why the people of Kosovo will never forget who stood with us when it mattered most. And when the United States, the nation that stood by us in our darkest hour, extends the hand of partnership, our answer should always be worthy of that friendship: clear, unwavering, and immediate. That is how alliances are strengthened. That is how trust is preserved. That is how friendship endures across generations. As America marks 250 years of liberty, we celebrate not only a nation, but an idea that changed the course of history: that freedom is always worth defending and that the dignity of every human being matters. Happy 250th anniversary, America. Thank you for helping make our freedom possible, and for giving generations of Kosovars a reason to believe that even in the darkest moments, liberty can prevail. 🇽🇰❤️🇺🇸 (Excerpt from my speech on July 4th 2025)

Serbia's act of aggression was carried out by terrorist & paramilitary groups for the sole purpose of a Crimea-style annexation of the north of 🇽🇰. They want to help Putin to open a new front against the West. We will continue to work with our allies not to allow that.

Vucic’s propaganda about the alleged ‘terror’ against 🇽🇰 Serbs, shows that he can’t break away from his past. 🇽🇰 has the most advanced minority rights system in Europe. We’re ready to do more for our citizens, but Serbia will be given no instrument to undermine our sovereignty.

Peace requires dealing with the past. Some of the victims of the regime which Vucic served, were sitting right next to me. This was the chance to show them and the rest of the world, whether there is a glimpse of humanity left in him. Once again, instead of dealing with the past, he chose denial and propaganda.

Elhame Muçolli was only 14 years old when her house was raided by Serbia’s police forces. 53 civilians—mainly children—were initially fired at as they were all gathered in one room. She will never be able to forget the deafening screaming of some of the children that were still alive as they were being burnt down to ashes. And as if that was not enough, the police set them on fire again and again and again. Elhame survived to relentlessly tell the world the story of her family and her nation.
