⚡Jammu, 1995 — Failed assassination attempt on General K. V. Krishna Rao during Republic Day. On 26 January 1995, multiple bombs exploded during the Republic Day parade at Maulana Azad Memorial Stadium in Jammu, in an assassination attempt targeting K. V. Krishna Rao. 8 people were killed and dozens injured. Rao, who had earlier served as Governor of Jammu and Kashmir from 1989–1993, narrowly escaped. Video source - AP
