Women have toiled, suffered abuse and vilification, and spent a fortune to get to this point. Just to have the law confirmed as what it obviously always was. Trans activists have attacked and hounded feminists, loudly and often violently attempting to prevent us from meeting to discuss our rights, and defacing monuments. These images from yesterday should alarm you as they do us. Years of institutional indulgence have left activists emboldened to show their desire to commit violence against women in broad daylight and in public. Women’s safety is at risk if you do not take strong and immediate action. It is a dangerous moment for the women in this fight. Now we have labour MPs and ministers of your own government, whose job is to apply the rule of law, plotting to undermine this ruling. Will you, our Prime Minister, stamp out this subterfuge? Will you put an end to the misogynistic attempts to destroy everything that belongs to women? Will you finally undo over a decade of bad decisions and guidance stemming from your predecessors and end this war decisively? Anyone seeking to defy the law of the land should leave government.
