While we were filleting squid from our swordfish trip that day, Preston hooked a jack crevalle. Out of nowhere, a giant Goliath grouper came up from the depths and tried to eat his fish. I quickly grabbed a 130 lb setup, rigged the jack as bait, and within seconds the monster came back and swallowed it. After an absolutely brutal fight, I finally landed the biggest fish I've ever caught from a dock! I estimate it weighed between 300–400 lbs (136–181 kg). Once the battle was over, the giant Goliath grouper was safely released back into the wild. 🎣🐟🔥
