Remote control is now live in the Copilot CLI! Run Copilot on your local machine, leave it plugged in, head to the beach, and drive the agent from your mobile phone 😎

My favorite new feature in the GitHub Copilot App: Canvases. Agent-created, agent-driven apps. Copilot has a built-in skill for creating and editing them. They hot reload in real time. They can talk to your agent, and your agent can talk back. Hyper-personalization is here.

Introducing Copilot Chronicle. All of your session data indexed and searchable by the agent via FTS and SQL queries. Analyze your sessions to auto-update instructions, find details about that bug you fixed last week, and figure out which times of day you're most productive.

Unlimited tokens is the only perk that matters at your job. In the last 24 hours I used ~$5k worth of tokens to spike rewriting Copilot CLI in Bun + OpenTUI. No more ink flickering.

Opus 4.6 FAST mode is now available in Copilot CLI. In 30 minutes, I was able to implement a new "Command Center" view for `/fleet` mode. When you launch your agent swarm, we automatically open a panel to track the status of your subagents. Should I ship this on monday?

Starting side quests just got easier. The Copilot CLI now supports `&` to delegate work to the cloud.

`/research` now available in the Copilot CLI Deep research across any OSS repo on the planet using GitHub's advanced code search tools, and MCPs for fetching repo contents dynamically. Produce reports, export to gists, and share them with your team.

After reaching AI-native terminal velocity we are swamped in code review. The core insight is that as long as you can write code in parallel you will continue to be stuck until you can review it in parallel. I was surprised by how quickly this became my daily driver for not just review code, but writing it as well.

Copilot CLI can now write and hot reload it's own typescript extensions! Here the agent wrote it's own snake extension that only lets me play while copilot is busy, and pauses the game when I need to provide input. Available today in /experimental mode v1.0.3

Afternoon hack: all sessions embedded and available in a search index and exposed as a tool. Do you want Copilot CLI to give you reports about how you are working, patterns, what to improve, and most importantly wins?

The Copilot CLI now supports builtin subagents for parallelizing search and coding tasks within separate context windows. Uniquely, the outer agent can invoke different models. Ask Opus, Codex, Gemini and a dozen other models for answers in parallel.

Today we’re excited to introduce GenSX, an open source TypeScript framework for building backend workflows and agents with reusable, React-like components. If you know how to write a React component, then you’ll feel right at home building agents in GenSX.
