Brock Lesnar shares his plans for post-retirement and says some thank you’s to WWE, TKO, Dana White and more — “I’ve got some hunting lined-up, and I’ve got two boys in hockey, I’m gonna support that and their dreams as long as that’s feasible, and my daughter, she’s got her eye on 2028 Olympics. I’m just gonna spend some more time with the kids and in the woods, and just reap what I’ve sown. Just enjoy life. I spent the last two days in bed, I got run over my a Nigerian Nightmare Dumptruck [Oba Femi] on Saturday night, and it’s time. I’m 49, and I still want to be able to get around and move, but I’m grateful, very grateful. Oba was great and the WWE Universe. I want to thank the promotion itself, TKO, Dana White, the UFC, the Minnesota Vikings, and the University of Minnesota — everybody that believed-in me and took a chance on me…I’m just grateful.” — via #PMSLive (Pat McAfee)

Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque speaks on Nick Aldis coming out to “Morning Glory” by Oasis for his match against Gunther — “A couple weeks ago we were talking about music and I said give me your fantasy what’s the biggest fantasy…he was like ‘what about Oasis?’. I said ‘maybe no, but let’s see and meanwhile let’s work on something else.’ I was thrilled a few days ago to tell him ‘Oasis is in dude, we’re doing it’.” — via #SummerSlam Post-Show

CM Punk responds to Big E asking if Punk had any feelings over Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar main eventing over him and Cody Rhodes — “Of course I had feelings about that. But I’m not one of these guys that has it in their contract that I HAVE to close the show. Listen ladies and gentlemen, there’s a main event and there’s the match that goes last, it ain’t for me to decide. I’m too old for that. I’m just gonna lace my boots up and beat somebody’s ass. That’s all I know. Whether I’m first, whether I’m before intermission, whether I’m the popcorn match, whether I’m semi-main main. CM Punk is ALWAYS the main event.” — via #SummerSlam Post-Show

Kevin Owens thanks all the people that helped him through his process of recovering from neck surgery, and said he looked at Tanea Brooks (Rebel) as inspiration when things weren’t looking great — “There’s somebody called Tanea Brooks, who’s known to wrestling fans as ‘Rebel.’ She has not wrestled here, but some things are bigger than wrestling. She’s currently battling ALS, and the way she’s doing it is so incredible. I looked at her and what she was going through, and the way she powered through it, and it was truly inspirational.” ❤️ — via #SummerSlam Post-Show

WWE Women’s Champion, Chelsea Green has revealed that she suffered a broken orbital bone last night on #SmackDown — “I did get injured last night. Stuff happens. I ended up in the emergency room and I have a broken orbital bone. I have no idea what that means for me, usually you guys see me play into every single injury, but this feels different — it feels frustrating, I’m upset. I feel like if I didn’t have bad luck I’d have no luck at all. So I just need to take a little more time to process and to kind of heal from the head trauma that is going on right now and then we will see what happens.” — via chelseaagreen on IG

Oba Femi sends a heartfelt message to Brock Lesnar after Lesnar proclaimed Femi as ‘The Future’ — “We all know Brock is a beast, he presents as a beast, he’s a monster, he’s been dominant for 25 years. But he is still very much human, he’s a human-being, he’s a man, he’s a father, he’s an athlete, he has feelings as well. So to Brock, I wish you all the best, man. I really do. Go hunting, do what you do, go be a father, go be a human being, you’ve earned this. In the ring, in the cage, everything you’ve done, you’re the best, you’re one of the greatest minds of professional wrestling And I hope when all this is said and done, everybody knows that.” — via #SummerSlam Post-Show

Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque gives Brock Lesnar his flowers — “Brock does not get the credit for being as good as he is. Because he’s not your prototypical pro wrestler, he’s not looked at when you talk about the greats technically in the business… I would put him up there as one of the best of all-time. Psychology-wise, in-ring performance-wise, he did it in a unique way that was all Brock Lesnar — in a believable way. I watched him from the day he walked in the door, all the way til now, and it’s been incredible. He is an incredible, incredible, incredible performer. When he wants to do what he did over the last few months with somebody like Oba that’s a bold statement and a big one.” — via #SummerSlam Post-Show

Oba Femi sent a message to CM Punk — “There are some people who said they’re ’the best on this microphone, in that ring, even at commentary’ Right?… But you want to drop Pipebombs and all that stuff, but understand one thing, your bombs don’t work when it comes to Oba Femi. You are gifted on this mic and so am I.” — via #SummerSlam Post-Show

Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque was asked about a comment Damian Priest made recently about the same talent being in the top spots, and answers Jamie Iovine’s question on how he feels about the current generation of stars going forward and the “changing of the guard” right now in WWE — “Look, I get that. If you’re the guy that wants to take the spot, it’s frustrating when there’s guys above you that have the spot. We’re in a period of time where there’s a lot of top performers in top spots that over time have earned those spots and are selling tickets and are incredibly popular. So you really have to do something. The narrative of ‘It’s my turn. I’ve been here for a while’. There’s no turns. That’s not how it works. You earn the spot. Believe me. If somebody is getting over more than somebody else, we move that person into the spot and move the other person down. But it’s not just that, it’s not just they’re getting the loud crowd reaction. Are they going to be good in the spot? Are they going to hold up their end of the bargain? Are they going to screw up if we give it to them? Are they going to make a mistake that we regret? — There’s all those things factored in. And I love the fact that sometimes, talent are like ‘Well, it’s frustrating.’ Great, that means work harder. Get yourself there. Figure it out. Figure out the way. Figure how it gets done. I’ve seen a million talent succeed because of what they do. Not because storyline or creative. ‘They gave them the spot’. 99% of the time in this business, the person gets over then gets the push. That’s how it works. That’s how it’s supposed to work. You go do you then we follow it, because otherwise, most of the time, they will choke on it if it’s not what the fans believe in. Big believer in if you want the spot, go take it. Whenever anybody says ‘I don’t know why I’m not in that spot’…well I don’t know, are you more over than Cody? Roman? Punk? Liv? IYO? The people that are in that spot get there. Make those crowd reactions. Whatever you need to make it happen, that’s what we’re all here to do. I love that mentality because I think it makes people work harder, and if they’re not willing to work to get the spot then you shouldn’t have it anyway.” — via #SummerSlam Post-Show
