A Pakistani has written: The owners of cement factories say that they need coal on a daily basis, and this coal used to come from Afghanistan. Earlier, the price was thirty thousand rupees per ton, but now it has reached forty thousand, and even the supply is not stable. For this reason, they are compelled to import expensive coal from South Africa. But the real problem is that Afghanistan and the Central Asian countries were the biggest buyers of cement. When the market itself is closed, where will the factory’s production go? Warehouses in medicine-manufacturing factories are also filled with goods, because the products are not being exported. As a result, they are now considering shutting down production. Malta oranges and vegetables cannot be preserved for long. If the markets of Afghanistan and Central Asia remain closed, they will either be sold very cheaply within the country or go to waste. There was also discussion about sending goods to Central Asia via Iran, but the banks refused outright. The reason is that Iran is under international sanctions, so the banks will not carry out any financial transactions

The unloading and import of hundreds of oil and gas wagons from neighboring countries continue through the Aqina port. Afghanistan’s trade with all its neighboring countries—except Pakistan—remains normal. However, if the Pakistani regime does not revise its current policies, it will face further losses, the burden of which will ultimately fall on the people of Pakistan. We deeply regret the suffering of the Pakistani people, but Afghanistan has taken this step out of necessity, not desire.

The Pakistani regime is openly violating fundamental human rights and international law. Reports indicate that this regime has launched a brutal campaign against vulnerable Afghan refugees inside Pakistan. So far, around 13,000 Afghans have been forcibly detained, with night raids conducted on homes and families taken away in handcuffs to detention camps. They believe such actions will pressure Afghanistan, but they fail to realize that these atrocities will only deepen instability across the region. Policies built on cruelty and the abuse of human dignity have never produced security or political success— they only open the door to prolonged crisis and unrest.
