It cannot be understated: our broken immigration system has caused high unemployment, high home prices and high inflation. It must be fixed and provincial rights strengthened. Today, the Prime Minister got a copy of our referendum questions including the 9 on immigration and constitutional reforms. If Albertans give us a strong mandate on these questions, our government will get right to work on these needed reforms. And as I’ve said many times, please vote for Option 1, a strong Alberta within a united Canada, and yes to the rest! 🍁

Advance polls are open until Saturday. Make sure to get out your vote in the referendum. I’ll be voting for Option 1 to remain in Canada on question 10. I’m voting Option 1 because standing up for Alberta and refusing to back down is working. The emissions cap is gone. C-69 no longer applies to our energy projects. Pacific Link is moving forward. We are getting results and we need to keep going. And on questions 1 through 9, I’m voting YES. Alberta needs more authority to make decisions in our own interests, support more sustainable immigration and protect the social services Albertans rely on. To find out where to vote, visit:

High density infill needs common sense consideration for parking, waste collection, water and utilities, and the surrounding neighbourhood. Edmonton families asked for help. Our government stepped in because people had run out of places to turn. Municipal Affairs Minister Dan Williams explains it best👇

A student visa is a temporary document to study in Canada. That was always understood. Our universities and colleges were built by Alberta taxpayers, first and foremost for Alberta students. Where there is room for international students, the terms are simple. Earn your education, then return home to build a life with it. Rules are what make a fair system fair and our country needs to return to an immigration process that respects the rules.

Canada is investing $8 billion into the facilities at Edmonton, Cold Lake, Suffield and Wainwright. The people serving on these bases are proud Canadians and proud Albertans. We also announced today that Alberta will also become home to the Western Main Operating Base for the RCAF's CC-330 Husky fleet. These investments will also create up to 38,000 new jobs and a growing defence industry rooted right here. What a huge day for Alberta!

I joined Fox Business this morning to advocate for a tariff free relationship, and for both federal governments to get back to the negotiating table. My message to Americans is clear: tariffs and counter tariffs increase costs, disrupt supply chains, put pressure on businesses and workers, and impact families in both countries. The U.S. benefits greatly from free trade with Canada because their refineries and businesses take our raw resource exports, such as energy, add two or three times their value through processing and manufacturing, and then export those value-added products around the world. This adds millions of jobs to the U.S. economy. It also enhances U.S. trade surpluses with other countries. It’s an amazingly beneficial trading relationship for both countries that we should be building - not breaking. Let’s get back to the negotiating table, finalize a deal & move forward as friendly neighbours and allies again.

One Card. That’s it. Starting July 2, Albertans can get a new driver’s licence or ID card that includes their healthcare number and proof of citizenship, all on one secure card at no additional cost. No more flimsy paper cards. No more carrying multiple pieces of ID. Just a common-sense change that makes life easier.

Alberta has a long history of welcoming a responsible and sustainable number of newcomers to our province who come here, get a job, build a life, and contribute to our province. Unfortunately, over the last 10 years the federal system has let temporary programs grow far beyond what they were designed for, and it’s putting pressure on the housing, schools and health care every family relies on. Temporary residents contribute about $150 million to our tax base annually, yet the cost to provide services for them is over $1 billion. It’s simply not fair to Alberta taxpayers. That’s why referendum proposes ways Alberta can: ✔️moderate population growth ✔️prioritize jobs for Albertans ✔️strengthen social services On October 19, Albertans have a chance to have their say on how immigration works in our province.

To a family, a home is more than a building. It’s where memories are made, milestones are celebrated, and years of hard work come together. For most people, it’s the biggest investment they’ll ever make. Residents in Calgary and Edmonton have been speaking up and raising concerns about how redevelopment and increased density are affecting their neighbourhoods. They deserve to have a say in how their communities change. Growth matters, but so does getting it right. Our government intends to stand with families and support responsible growth that respects the people who call these neighbourhoods home.

Most Albertans have probably seen the headlines about companies wanting to invest in and build AI data centres in Alberta. Many Albertans are excited about that, but others have legitimate questions. Here are the answers to 6 common questions on everything from power to water to land use and how these investments will financially benefit our province now and in the future.

I spoke with our American friends through CNBC this morning. My message: this continent has everything it needs to achieve North American security and independence in energy, critical minerals and the supply chains both our economies run on. Canada has the resources. The United States has the refining and manufacturing capacity to add two or three times their value and export those products around the world. That partnership adds millions of jobs to the U.S. economy and strengthens American trade surpluses with other countries. Every day we spend arguing about tariffs is a day we hand ground to countries that are not our allies. Neither nation can afford the job losses and increased consumer costs of continuing the fight on trade. Let’s get back to the negotiating table, get to a deal and move forward.

Christine called ☎️ in about the infills going up in her community. She is not the only one. Edmontonians have been telling me the same thing for weeks. I am listening. Would appreciate seeing your comments below from folks who live in Edmonton. What do you think about infill and blanket rezoning?

A huge win for Alberta, vulnerable Albertans and their families. And yet another sign our country is getting back on track after the Trudeau years. Alberta’s UCP government was proud to pass legislation last spring that prohibited MAID for individuals whose sole underlying medical condition is a mental illness. We’re pleased to see the federal government has announced they will be following our lead and won’t be moving ahead with their planned expansion of MAID to those whose sole underlying condition is mental illness. This is the common sense approach we’ve been calling for since the beginning. Well done Alberta! And kudos to the Feds for changing direction.

Alberta is not going to leave $10 trillion dollars in the ground. Not a chance. The west coast oil pipeline will create hundreds of thousands of jobs, generate hundreds of billions for roads, schools and hospitals, and keep our taxes amongst the lowest in the developed world. Here’s how 👇 Please share this with those who have questions about Alberta’s plan to build the new west coast pipeline.

I know the last decade under the Trudeau-NDP was difficult and Albertans have every right to be frustrated. But thanks to the leadership of Albertans, the tide is finally turning in our favour. The vast majority of Trudeau’s ‘9 bad laws’ have been scrapped or reformed. Investment has begun flowing back into energy, tech, and agriculture, and we are creating more jobs than the rest of the country combined. Now is not the time to give up hope. Now is the time to double down and help Canada reach its incredible potential. With Alberta leading the way, we can turn Canada into one of the most strong and prosperous economies in the world. On October 19, I will be voting for Alberta to remain in Canada. I hope you will join me in doing so.
