Unprecedented Scandal Involved Villa Somalia. I am ashamed to report on the breaking corruption scandal involving Villa Somalia. I had never imagined, and it feels surreal to me, that the regime at Villa Somalia could be involved in such misconduct. They have been renting helicopters, donated to the Somali National Army Forces, as private charters to military officials and others from other security sectors. The cost varies between $5,000 to $8,000 per flight. This includes transporting military officials and personnel from point to point, as well as for medivac and rescue operations. Somalia received six Bell 412 helicopters in 2023-2024 from Italy and various other countries in support of its war on terror according to information. Villa Somalia registered all the choppers as a private company under the name Gem-Tech, managed by Ahmed Nur President HSM close associate. President HSM left for Asmara this morning, attempting to evade the media, but Asmara exposed his arrival as seen here. This visit isn't even covered by Villa Somalia’s official media outlet. A friend of mine said, 'HSM's relationship with Asmara needs a case study,' and I couldn't agree more.
