I’ve worked with billion-dollar-funded companies like ElevenLabs and ClickUp, as well as bootstrapped software companies that were just starting out. One thing I’ve learned: A great SaaS video can still be the wrong video. A launch video, motion feature video, testimonial, or onboarding video can be the wrong investment if you don’t know what stage your company is at. So I recorded a complete framework explaining what type of videos a software company should actually spend its budget on. →what deserves the most attention? →what should stay in-house? →what deserves serious production? →and what should you never spend money on? I’m giving away the full breakdown. Comment “ADDX” and I’ll send you the video.

Most SaaS product demo videos make one mistake. They break the UI into small animated pieces just to make the video look “cool”. But that creates a problem. The viewer never understands how the actual product looks. we took the opposite approach for our client Scale ai We showed the real product. The real UI. The real workflow. No over-editing. No fake screens. It may look less “flashy”. But the viewer actually understands the product before they even use it.

We spent 2 weeks designing an Ai SaaS video around a complex LLM product. Strong visuals. Clean execution. High sleepless night efforts. It still got rejected... :) Our mistake: we leaned too much into design, not enough into clarity. We took that hit. But here’s the reality most agencies won’t say: Even our rejected work is more structured and thoughtful than most “approved” SaaS videos. lol
