Incidents like this sit at the center of what the Second Amendment was written to address. It isn’t about macho posturing. It’s about a citizen’s ability to slow the momentum of state action when that action feels unchecked. In the United States, the line between government authority and private life has always been negotiated in small, tense encounters far from courtrooms or political statements. She didn’t fire, and nobody got hurt. She created a boundary and the agents recognized it. The restraint on both sides mattered, and the result underscored a simple truth. Rights are only as strong as a person’s ability to assert them when the state arrives uninvited.

It doesn't matter if we preach talking to people you disagree with, have politically diverse guests on our podcast, advocate for universal gun rights, and say 100x that we're not communists. People like this with a straight face will call us the "radical commie left" and pretend to be morally virtuous while not realizing this is what they look like to most people.

For decades, they held the reins, crafting a narrative that kept the right in the hands of a select few while shutting out those who didn’t fit their mold, but the tide is turning. More women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people of color are arming themselves, rejecting the notion that self-defense is a privilege reserved for a chosen few. In desperation, the old guard clings to fear, pushing lies and divisive rhetoric to protect their crumbling influence. They know the gun community is evolving, and they can’t stop it.

Another nugget of wisdom from our episode with Kyle Clark - We had a great time with Kyle and it was incredibly refreshing to hear someone from "the media" acknowledging this responsibility considering so much of what we're used to seems like it's designed to pit us against each other. We're lucky to have people like Kyle working to improve faith in the media and hope more people follow his example.
