The amount of wildlife AI slop on Facebook right now is pretty nuts and people actually think it's real! Completely diminishes the work of other photographers who put in the field hours. Only a matter of time before AI prompters begin to call themselves "wildlife photographers".

Okay, this is the worst flooding I've seen in the years I've lived in Miami Beach. I actually had to go move our car before it got any worse.

Say hello to Florida's wild horses.

This is one hungry manatee.

Hard to believe that a 16+ foot crocodile blends in so well. We paddled right by him without noticing the dorsal scutes in the sawgrass and cattails.

Crocodiles aren't the only things lurking in the backcountry brackish waters of the Everglades. Clip from our "King of the Everglades" docuseries!

At long last. The bison of Florida! This was a crazy experience mostly because of how daring it was to cross the muddied Alachua basin and we hiked between herds of wild horses and eventually a surprise encounter with boar.

We brake for beavers in this household.

On one hand, I appreciate this footage because look at this absolute STUD of a bison. On the other hand, I don't think I would continue down a trail if this beast was wallowing on it during peak rut.

What an encounter at Glacier National Park.

Keys fisherman Captain Jared Raskob captured this footage of a monster crocodile chomping down on tarpon in the Everglades. Looks like Coot Bay where I kayaked about six weeks ago and saw Freddy for the first time this year. Gnarly.

Got another angle of the Grand Prismatic incident at Yellowstone National Park. What looks like solid ground is a fragile crust over a nearly 190 degree hydrothermal system. A bison broke through last year and didn't survive. These two had no idea how close they came.

The end result, staring down North America's largest American crocodile. Estimates from 2022 have him at 16 feet but I think he's grown past that. Hard to believe he's also over 50 years old too. He alone rules these waterways. Behold the beast known as Croczilla 🐊

One of the rarest creatures you'll ever encounter in Florida's backcountry. The Everglades mink! Incredibly elusive and barely photographed in the wild, the dry season is your best window to find one if you know where to look. One of the most cunning mustelids on the continent.

Some brown bear trail camera content to brighten your day.

Is there a more prehistoric bird than the Sandhill Crane? Just listen to that call. That bugling call can carry up to two miles across open marsh, produced by a trachea so elongated it actually coils into the breastbone like a brass instrument.

LOOK DOWN 🦉 North America's only ground-nesting owl lives right here in South Florida. The burrowing owl is smaller than a coffee cup and tougher than it looks. Let's go find some!

Three Eastern Screech Owl owlets in a single cavity nest deep in a Florida cypress dome. Most people never see one in the wild, much less three at once. The third spent the whole time wedging between his siblings just to peek outside and introduce himself to the world.

Florida Bay. The threshold between the Everglades and the Keys. Paddle with me through mangrove channels where crocodiles bask, wading birds patrol the shallows, and American flamingos have quietly returned to the Everglades. Wild Florida at its finest.

Last trip to the Great Smokies, I stumbled onto a lone black bear foraging in Cades Cove. Then the sun dropped and a group of wild hogs emerged from nowhere. I had no idea hogs roamed out there! Pushed my camera to 50,000 ISO just to bring this footage back.

You guys wanna laugh at me? I was so locked in on getting my first gopher tortoise on camera that when I tried to lean in for a slow cinematic dolley pull for video, I pulled my back mid-shot. All because I forgot I had my full pack on 🤦🏻

For a long time, I've been after a ghost in the wetlands. After many attempts hiking the northern region of the Florida Everglades, I finally scored my first bobcat.

Our little grounded purple martin is still here! Little guy has grown more plumage and is now hopping around trying to get some lift off the air. Nice to see mom and dad are taking good care of this one!
