Last weekend a large group of travellers set up an unauthorised encampment at Weelsby Woods in Grimsby, an area of natural beauty turning it into a sh*thole with human excrement and waste left everywhere Leader of the council Reform Oliver Freeston took action straight away and by yesterday the group of around 12 caravans left the site in an absolute mess Oliver made a video communicating with the residents about the situation and he was contacted by a tree specialist who offered to come and clear the site of all wood for free Joe from Grimsby Tree, branch, root and garden services came down today and met up with Oliver and other reform councilors and volunteers and got stuck in getting to work on all the tons of waste left behind, well done Joe 👏🏻 and well done everyone that came down and dug in, can see you all love your town 🖤🤍 This is what community looks like when it sticks together 👇🏻 💙

The homeless and drug situation in my town is getting worse. People are being let out of prison onto the streets with no adequate support and they're walking round like zombies off their head on cheap spice. Overdoses are daily, rehabilitation seems to be non existent unless you have someone fighting your corner or on the inside. We are probably into double figures for drug deaths this year already. I've been trying my hardest of late to help as many as possible, one lad we have secured accommodation and paperwork filled in for another to go to rehabilitation, I feed these guys as much as I can, I just can't manage that level of support every day as it's costing too much I'm going to start back doing daily vlogs to show you how bad the situation is at the minute in my town, what I'm trying to get at and asking is have you heard of the wetherspoons app game? Random people on Facebook take a picture of themselves in wetherspoons and put their location and table number on the post so you can buy them drinks and they thank you in the comments If I was to take the homeless in my town to wetherspoons would you consider buying them a meal from the app? No alcohol just food for our most vulnerable that don't get a proper meal Braffy hasn't eaten for 2 days and suffers from cancer, a £3 muffin and unlimited tea meal not only fills his stomach it keeps him out the cold dry and makes him realize people do care and will eventually lead to him wanting to take that step into rehab. Not only that you see that your support goes direct to those in need and nowhere else. It's an idea that I will be trailing out in the next few days. Thank you all for your continued support 💙

So last night I caught these pair of b*stards out prowling round the town early doors going through the bags of our homeless pinching stuff off them and demanding money off people. 'Give Me 2 Pounds' I've only been patrolling around the town centre in Grimsby for the last 2 nights after reports of a couple of attempted robberys by a gang of foreigners and straight away what do I find 😡 If you live in the Grimsby area and have to use the town centre late at night or early morning, just be on your look out and take extra care.
