I had a great time with Black Flag Resynced, but my 9 biggest concerns right now are: 1. No more disarming enemies and stealing their weapons. 2. Hidden Blade combat has been completely removed. 3. Some animal fights now feel more like mini-boss battles, and a few look way too spongey. 4. Unarmed combat might only exist in a handful of scripted situations. 5. The brand-new cutscenes look noticeably stiffer than the 13-year-old originals. 6. Small details like the shallow-water animation are gone, while other animations feel less immersive. 7. Mission replay may have disappeared alongside the old DNA Sequence system. 8. Tailing missions seem simplified rather than properly redesigned. 9. Cheats appear to be gone entirely. I'm still really excited for the game, but these are the 9 red flags that have me a bit worried. Full breakdown below 👇🏻

Assassin’s Creed Shadows review – quick thoughts after 150+ hrs 👇 (Video coming soon! Working on it rn 🛠️) 🟢 Story feels focused like the older AC games 🟢 Loved Yasuke’s story, one of my fav AC protagonists 🟢 Assassin & Templar stuff pleasantly surprised me, handled pretty well 🟢 Nonlinear storytelling & flashbacks were 🔥 🟢 Excellent historical characters (Oda Nobunaga 🐐) 🟢 Cutscenes = huge step up over recent ACs 🟢 Stealth = best in the series imo 🟢 Combat w/ Yasuke feels badass 🟢 Lots of assassination targets (main & side) 🟢 Side quests are simple but very fun 🔴 Modern day stuff = non-existent 🔴 Parkour is functional but not fun 🔴 Way too much filler loot 🔴 Side chars facial animations are stiff 🔴 Yasuke can’t climb some viewpoints (why???) Overall, easily my fav in the RPG era. Had so much heart put into it.
