On June 4, the media across Massachusetts broke news regarding text messages sent by a member of the State Police Detective Unit under the supervision of the Norfolk County District Attorney. In a word, the text messages are horrifying: the most racist, misogynistic, bigoted, antisemitic messages I’ve ever seen. That afternoon, I officially called on Michael Morrissey, the current District Attorney, to resign effective immediately. The DA bears responsibility for the failure in leadership and supervision that this news exposed, and this is exactly why I’m running to be the next Norfolk County DA.
