At #PMQs I asked the PM if he will personally attend the next UN Nature summit. Deeply disappointing that he didn’t engage with this serious topic and instead chose to attack me. We urgently need to scale up renewables & this must be done with communities, not to them. We absolutely can achieve both. Most of PMQs was a constructive atmosphere & I asked a straight-forward non-combative question. I urge Keir Starmer to keep to the promising commitments he’s previously made on resetting the tone on the political debate. The public wants politics to be respectful and constructive.

We need to stop animal cruelty. The previous Labour Govt rightly banned fox hunting, but we still see foxes being killed in the cruellest manner. We can have an alternative without the cruelty: we could end trail hunting and allow drag hunting, as the League Against Cruel Sports has highlighted.
