While Westminster obsesses over by-elections and leadership contests, an official report warns that within years our food and water systems could fail. I’ve forced Govt to acknowledge a suppressed report on ecosystem collapse. But Ministers still aren’t facing the scale of the crisis.

Ministers 'not facing the scale' is generous. They're actively hiding from it. Food and water systems failing while they play politics. Ecosystems don't wait for committees.

@natalieben They have been warned!! And all the more reason to halting plans for Data Centres that will destroy large swathes of land, the landscape and deplete already poor levels of available water.

The crisis is starting now. I have been with farmers recently who do not know if they can produce crops in UK over the next 2 years due to extreme + wildly fluctuating climatic conditions and lack of fertiliser due to the Iran war. Adrian you are doing the right thing, keep going

Well done, now can the Green Party please focus on clean air, clean water and protecting our wild lands and farming communities!

Well, if we’re turning thousands of prime farmland into huge solar farms - what the fuck do you think will happen!?

@MothinAli I still can't understand why people aren't pushing this as widely as possible

The problem here is that you people have cried wolf so often for so long many of us aren't listening any more:

"While Westminster obsesses over by-elections and leadership contests, an official report warns that within years our ..... water systems could fail." You Greens objected to a reservoir. Now, you whinge that water systems could fail!! 🤣🤣 Ayn Rand: “You can ignore reality, but you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.”

Thank you for raising this. Please lobby for urgent change. I believe we demand & produce too much food, tonnes of surplus food waste is thrown away daily because of best before & use by dates which must have a devastating impact on our natural resources.

@CarolineLucas Thank you Adrian

@CarolineLucas

These data centres are putting pressure on water and energy resources

@CarolineLucas The environmental disaster awaiting us plus wind turbines and electric car batteries. Have you even thought about this?

In late April 2024, when @AdrianRamsay was co-leader of @TheGreenParty along with @carla_denyer, the party's policy statement opposing water fluoridation (see below) was taken down from its website. The party's leaders and MPs have been silent on fluoridation for over two years.

Have you read @ProfTimLang 2025 report Just in case: narrowing the UK civil food resilience gap?

If we let the globalists take them over, they will fail. But they won’t fail the globalists. I’d be interested in the names on the “suppressed report”. Would you like to furnish us with them please?

Have you lot faced up to this yet!!

National Emergency Briefing on climate and nature

Build a new reservoir or two, job done.

@SarahWa72623615 Lost my vote when you elected that scruff for your leader.

Yep and you’re doing your damnedest to shut many down. Preferring to import lower welfare higher carbon producing products. Get out and talk to your farmers learn and start to understand the industry you and your party are so opposed to

@CarolineLucas

@CarolineLucas

@MothinAli Marxism makes me nervous

@CarolineLucas

@SarahWa72623615 Westminster isn’t obsessing over by-elections, reform might be panicking, but Labour are just doing their job, governing us.

@TheGreenParty Silence from @TheGreenParty and your leaders

A room full of fucking cock wombles. Not one of them has any desire for corrective action

Not surprising really when you think of how many homeless people are on waiting lists for a council house. Some wait for 27 years! You could speak up for those who need a roof over their heads.

@CarolineLucas

Comrade Joseph Starmer is exterminating the kukaks, because he wants to import 100% of our food, in order that many British people will starve to death. That's Labour policy. More houses for his illegal immigrants.

I said this to home office officials 30 years ago.....

There’s no more shameful testament to the housing crisis we inherited than the near record numbers of people sleeping in shop doorways and the 170,000 children stuck in temporary accommodation. Word salad. Not a mention of building more council houses

@MothinAli This is a very old story illustrating successive government failure from before the 1980's. This isn't the usual Green Party catastrophizing. But the reality is many "greens" will object to the environmental cost of infrastructure improving water supply.
